Summer Job (Anglade x reader)

Chapter 5

The next day at work was pretty crazy. Apparently when Ruka, Sora, and Umi went out the back yesterday they took a boat and got stranded in the ocean. But Umi and Sora are still missing.

Some of my coworkers have been searching for Sora and Umi since yesterday. So far they haven't found anything about their whereabouts.

I was finishing up one of my task as I saw Ruka run past me. "Going out to look for them?" She stops and looks my way. "Yea. I'm very worried about them and want to help." "Well if you found them, call me and I can pick you guys up. Okay."

She nodded and smile before she left.

*Time skip*

I walk into one of the areas where workers use computers and are trying to look for the boys. "Hey have you found anything about where they are?" I asked a woman with braided black hair and glasses.

"No we haven't, sadly. But we have a biologist, Jim, and his assistant, professor Anglade, to help us find them. It still might take a while." She said. My phone started to ring. I thanked her and went some where else to answer the call.

*Phone ringing*

Hello

Hey. This is Ruka. I'm at the beach right now and found Umi.

That's great. I will see you there.

Okay, bye.

*Call end*

I put away my phone and go to find my boss. "Mr. Azumi. I received a phone call from your daughter that she has found Umi. I was going to pick them up and wanted to know if you wanted to come along."

He looked up at me and responded saying "No it's okay. I trust you but hurry back. There is a typhoon approaching near here, so the roads might be dangerous soon." I agree, left the aquarium, and got in my car.

It was raining hard when I reach the beach and see Ruka, Umi, and a man with them. I honk the horn to let them know I'm here. They saw me and waved to the man.

Ruka sat in the passenger seat while Umi sat in the back. I drive off back to the aquarium before the weather gets worse. "So, who was that man?"

"Oh, his name is Jean Louis. He said he does research with Jim." Ruka says. I look at the rear view mirrors to see if Umi is okay. He looks sad and tired so I decided not to ask anything.

We returned back and they dry up from the rain. Umi goes near the tanks and jumps in to swim. But Ruka ask her father if she can look for Sora again.

After their talk Mr. Azumi comes up to me and thanks me for bringing them back. I went back to what I was doing.

An hour or two later I finish my shift and walk around the place and watch the fish swim. Since the typhoon was near we're closed until it's gone. I stop to look at the sea otters be cause their my favorite. One swim near the glass and stops when it sees me.

My phone buzz and I pull it out. It's from Anglade.

*Text*

Hey! Are you on break right now.

Yea. I'm actually done with my shift but can't go home since it's raining to hard. What are you doing?

Going to the hospital to visit someone.

I hope the person you're visiting is getting well.

Also I don't think you should be driving during the typhoon.

I will be okay. I will drive slow if it makes you feel better.
