Amelia and Anthony had been friends since birth. The earliest memories both of them had were of playing in the park together and when Anthony's father could bring Anthony with him to the Mostlyn House so he could talk business with Amelia's father.

She showed him all her dolls and told him the elaborate backstory she had created for everyone one and Anthony listened without fail. He told Amelia stories that made her laugh and that's when he learned that he loved her laugh more than anything.

Once they got older they began writing to each other. First, they were full of funny inside jokes they had but soon turned into where they told each other secret and their dreams. Anthony keeps all her letter in a sealed box under his bed while Amelia before she turned Anthony's letter into a just wonderful art piece were stored under between books on her shelves. Both would read the letters whenever they were was because each other words made them happier than anything else could.

While at first Amelia and Anthony's love for each other was platonic, he would never forget the exact moment he fell in love. They were 16 and they were at their first informal ball. Anthony wanted no part, he didn't care for dancing and thought the music was too loud, so he stood by his father looking coldly at everyone and everything. Amelia on the other hand loved the dancing. She lived for that party making her smile bright and she laughed noticeable. They caught Anthony's eye and whether it was how her blue eyes shimmered with the candlelight or how she would stumble over her brother's feet and laugh, Anthony felt his knees go weak at the sight of her. His father noticed the boy and how we couldn't take his eyes off her. He knew Anthony and knew he wasn't going to ask the girl to dance without encouragement. So, he pushed him over to the girl that was now drinking some punch with her brother. He somehow pulled Daniel away leaving the two together. Anthony while they had talked thousands of times was so nervous, he couldn't understand why this time felt so different. Amelia asked Anthony to dance once the music started and they began their waltz. It was a night that he would never forget and Edmund watched his son carefully, predicting the future in his head.

The morning was so chaotic she had no time to think about what her mother said last night. At exactly 7:00 she was served breakfast in bed, but her stomach churned with nervousness, and couldn't eat without the fear of throwing up. She looked in the mirror at her hair and makeup; she looked pale and nervous.

She stepped into her dress as her mother did the buttons up her back and clasp the necklace Anthony had gotten Amelia. "You look beautiful," her mother said holding onto Amelia's shoulders as they looked in the mirror.

"Do you think Anthony will think so?" Amelia stuttered.

"Of course, don't worry. He loves you too much," Amelia smiled at herself in the mirror imaging what Anthony was doing at that moment. "Oh, I almost forget. I have one more thing for you," she went to her dresser and pulled out a box. "I wore this on my wedding day and believe my eldest daughter should wear it at hers," she pulled out a veil and placed it carefully into Amelia's updo.
