Hi! Just a little warning.... This could be triggering for some. Idk how y'all feel about this kind of stuff so sorry if it bothers you at all!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Now, Y/N, stop squirming, try to enjoy." His filthy voice says in my ear as I try with all my force to get out of underneath his weight. A tear slips out. I shake my hands around, trying to get them free of the ropes that tie around them, then onto a bed post. "Your fûcking disgusting." I growl, giving up. He licks his lips. "I know." he whispers, giving me a disgusting smirk. He presses his dirty dry lips to my neck, and I whimper. This is the second time he's done this, and it's just disgusting. there are dead people roaming the earth, and this is his concern. The revolting man, named Ken, is more worried about abusing a girl, than he is surviving. He convinced me that he could help me, then one morning I woke up tied to a bed, arms above my head. Disgusting. He reaches his hands up my shirt, and I make as little movement as possible. he continues by unbuttoning my shorts. Is he actually going to do THAT this time? Last time he just left marks on my neck. I whimper loudly, vision blurring because of the tears flowing from my eyes. Then, I see movement from the doorway to the room. I quickly blink the tears from my eyes and see a boy about my age, looking at me in terror. I mouth the word "help" trying to hold in the loud sobs, that will probably soon escape. Then the boy pulls out a gun and points it to Ken, his face white as a ghost, absolutely terrified. Ken, oblivious to everything, but my neck, continues his disgusting work, by pulling my shorts down. The boy under the hat looks at me, and mouths "can I shoot?" I nod slightly, and brace myself. This piece of trash deserves this. A loud bang sounds, and I squeeze my eyes shut. Ken lets out a loud yell, and jumps off me, clutching his leg. When I open my eyes, I see the boy run towards Ken, and hold him down on the bed. I feel so helpless, being tied up, half naked. Ken squirms around as the boy ties his hands to the end bed post. Once done that, he walks to the side of the bed and cuts the ropes around my hands. "Quick." his voice shakes, and in a tone I could only describe as sorry. I pull my shirt down, and shorts up. I sit up from the bed and stretch. My back cracks a few times from laying with my hands above my head for so long. "what do you want done to him?" The brown haired boy asks, still pale in the face. "kill him?" "No. I don't kill." I say. its just not the right thing to do. Ken continues yelping quietly from his bloodied leg. The boy has a good aim. "but... I can." he says looking at me. "No, let him stay here. Scavenge the place, leave him with nothing. Keep him tied." the boy looks at me surprised. "You will pay for this. y-you will fûcking pay." Ken growls. I smile sarcastically at him. "Cool." I say before kicking him straight in the crotch, with as much strength I can. He cry's out in pain. "Ok, all his knifes and guns are there" I say pointing to a dresser in front of the bed. "and his food is in the kitchen." I finish. I look at the boy and he still seems stunned at my kick. I roll my eyes. "Lets just get out of this room before I change my mind about him." I say, and the boy grabs the two guns, and one knife from the drawer. he takes a final look at me, then walks out the bedroom door. I look back towards Ken. "Y-you'll... Pay." he says finally. I let out a chuckle and flip him the bird. "bye!" I say cheerfully and skip out the door, closing and locking it behind me. I hear him yell out of anger and I smile. "I'm Carl by the way." a voice says behind me, making me jump. "Jeeze, don't do that." I say lightly. he grins. "I'm Y/N." I say. "Thank you." he sighs. "I had to help. What he was doing is disgusting. I don't know why you didn't just kill him." he says slowly making himself down the stairs, me following. "I don't kill humans." I say, stepping down the stairs slowly. "Well, he's as close to not human as you could get." Carl says jumping over the last two steps, turning around to me. he gives me a look. i sigh. "But he's still human. Might be close to not, but he still is." I say walking past him into the kitchen. "Yeah...." He whispers coarsely. "So, there's not much, but it's what we have." I say, pulling a bag out from a cupboard. It has a few cans of soup, and five bottles of water. "That'll be great, b-hit only if you'll join us." "Us?" I question. "Yeah, me and my dad. we set up a small camp in a school just down the road." he says smiling, leaning against the kitchen door. "Now that'll be great." I say giggling. "Thank you." I smile. He looks at me questioningly, then smiles. "I don't know how you can do it." he says, still grinning. he turns around and walks into the living room. I roll my eyes, pick up a back pack that's on the ground, and follow him. "Do what?" I ask. he continues to walk through the house, and stops to look at a bookshelf. "Laugh, I mean, after what just happened." He says looking through the books, like he isn't paying attention to me. "Well... I don't know... I like to be happy!" I say smiling, looking at the books myself. I come across a book that catches my eye. "Ahhh... Hunger Games." I say grabbing it from the shelf. "Never really loved the book... but it seemed to be the craze before all this." I study it. "Ya I remember that. I remember ALL the girls in my class were reading it. I don't get what the big deal about it was." he says looking over at me chuckling. I smile. "Ya! Forever I would hear the little whistle thing through the class!" I laugh. I try to make the whistle, but it doesn't exactly work. It's off tune and quiet. Carl laughs loudly. "Hey! I can't whistle, ok!" I pout jokingly, shoving him playfully. "Ok, ok, sorry, if it makes you feel better I didn't learn until around last year." He smiles, and looks back at the shelf. I slip the book into the back pack I have in my hand. Just a little memory. "Ya I feel so much better." I joke. Carl stops looking though the shelf, and glances around the room. "You think there's anything more left?" He asks. "I don't think so, this place was pretty empty when I came." He lets out a stifled laugh. I look at him confused, but then it clicks. I roll my eyes and scoff. "Your so immature." I try not to laugh, but fail. We both share laughs. "Ahhh another thing that reminds me of school. My class was so immature. the second the number '69' was said the whole room went crazy." I say sighing. he chuckles, then there is a silence. "Lets stop talking about school, I'm getting a bit depressed." he says, with slight sarcasm. "But Carl, remembering should make you happy." I say walking closer to him. "Yeah but... schools gone now, and I don't think it'll ever come back. Funny that when I was younger I would do anything to stay home from school, and now I would do anything to get it back." He says looking at his feet, leaning against a wall. I walk to him and put an arm around his shoulder, in a friendly way. "Well, I say, don't frown because it ended, smile because it happened." I say sincerely. he chuckles. "You saw that online didn't you." Carl laughs, looking up at me. "Shut up." I say jokingly, pushing him. "You get it. Be happy!" I say taking my arm from his shoulder. He simply smiles. "Well, this isn't doing anything useful, lets get moving! Where to?" I say, looking out the window. From what I see, it's clear to go. "Let's get to the school. It's almost dark, but we can defiantly get there before night. It should only be a 5-10 minute walk." he says walking to the front door, and I go with him. "Before we go, do you need any more guns or knives?" I ask. He pulls up his shirt to reveal three knives and two guns in his belt. I can feel my cheeks flush pink when a reasonable about of skin is shown. "I think I'm good." he laughs. I laugh too, somewhat awkwardly, hopping it will cover my blush. "Alrighty, lets go then." I say and I open the door. As soon as it opens, I smile. there's a beautiful show of pink, and purple across the sky. We walk down the sidewalks, occasionally slicing a dead's, or what Carl calls them, walkers, brain. I can see the school now, it's only a couple minutes walk now. Carl and I make small talk as we walk. "So what's your favourite food?" He asks casually. "Hmmm... Y/F/F (your fav food) probably. You?" I say, jumping over the crack that divides the sidewalks pieces. "I actually don't know." he says laughing. "I can tell you my least favourite though." he says chuckling. I laugh. "Ok, what is it? I say looking at the ground, continuing to avoid the cracks on the ground. I'm trying to entertain myself. "Ok. Its pudding." he laughs. Pudding? I laugh too. "Really?!" I exclaim, looking up at him. "It's a long-ish story, but... me and my dad camped out in a house, he fell asleep, and I went out to look for supplies. One of the houses I looked in had a huge 112 ounce can... or... bucket of chocolate pudding." he laughs. I gasp. "You did not!" I say laughing. "Yeah... I kinda ate all of it..." he says looking guilty. "Ugh! You didn't even leave any for your dad?!" I question. This kids crazy. "....No." he says, continuing to look guilty. I laugh loud. "You fatty!" I exclaim. "Yeah I didn't feel too good after." "I bet you didn't! Jeeze kid." I say still laughing. After my laughter died down, we walk in silence. Carl and I are walking a lot closer to each other then before, and our hands touch every so often. I don't care though. Although it's silent, it comfortable, not awkward at all. It feels as if I've known Carl for years, but in reality we only met about three hours ago. We walk to the front of the school. "My dad should be in here, so try to look as trustable as possible." Carl says. I look at him, concerned, and he looks back. "Don't worry, he's a... nice guy." he smiles and opens the door. We walk through the school halls until we get to what looks like a gym. Through the door window, I can see a muscular man, with a baby in his arms. I gasp, and turn to Carl. "You have a baby!?" I whisper-yell, smiling. He chuckles. "Ya, that's Judith, my little sister." "Ohmygodohmygodohmygod!" I say quick, jumping up and down. What can I say? I love babies. Carl smiles again, and knocks on the door a few times, creating a rythem, then walks in. I'm guessing the special knock was to let his dad it was him. As we walk in, the tall man turns towards us, and as soon as his eyes move to me, he lays the small baby down on a blanket, then grabs for his gun. I shoot my hands up, and Carl jumps in front of me. "Dad... put it down already, shes a friend." Carl says, sounding annoyed. "Carl. Get over here." the man says, still pointing the gun at me. My arms get sore from holding them up, but I don't dare put them down. Carl sighs and turns around to me, giving a look of apolagy. "Don't worry, I wont let him do anything." "Carl!" his dad yells. "OK." Carl replies back. He slowly walks to his dad, but occasionally looks back at me. Once he's at his dad, they whisper something to each other, quite angerly, and Carl rolls his eyes. Rick comes towards me, and stands in front of me. I feel so small. He's gotta be at least a foot taller than me. "Weapons please." he says, putting a hand out. I take the hand gun from my waste band and slap it onto his hand. "The rest is in the bag." I say pulling it off my shoulder and dropping it onto the floor. The large man looks around, and then starts to pat me down, my arms first, then moves his way down to my sides. I stiffen. "Don't touch her, dad." Carl says from behind him. He stops, and I feel releived. "Why not? She could be hiding somthing." the man says. "She... I..." he sighs. "Just don't." The man looks at his son confused, but looks back at me. "Fine, but if you do anything suspiciouse..." 'Dad, give it a rest." Carl says finally, grabbing my hand, and dragging me out of the gym. He turns to me. "I'm so sorry." he says sincerely. He continues to hold my hand, and drags me somewhere else down the hall. This kid likes to keep it moving. I laugh mentally, and he takes me to a door, which is still a nice white colour. Finally letting go of my hand, he opens the door, which leads to a latter. "After you." he says smiling. I walk in and he does after me. "Where are we going?" I say, stopping him at the latter. "Just go up and you'll see! We got here just in time." I climb the latter to be greeted by a brilient pink and purple sky. The roof. I climb the rest of the latter, and breath in the fresh air. Amazing. "Wow." is all I can say. Probably the best sunset I've seen. I turn to the latter, and I see Carl's head pop up from the ground. He smiles as he looks up at me. "I know right. My favourite place of the building. Sadly the most dangerous. My dad doesn't like me up here, but I come anyway." he says walking to me. I turn back around to look at the beautiful sky. "I can understand why." I reply. I walk closer to the edge of the roof, and look down at the ground below. Its not too far down, I could probably jump down without seriously hurting myself. The school is only one level, I'm guessing it's a elementary school. I look back at the sky. It makes me feel happy, safer even. I smile. "I could watch forever." I say, dazed at the sight. I hear Carl chuckle at my cliche-ish statement, but I ignore. Honestly, I probably look like I had never seen a sunset before. "Hey, you wanna hang around up here for a bit? I have a couple blankets just down the latter if you want." Carl asks. I nod and smile. "That be great." He climbs down the latter, seconds later climbing back up with two blankets under his arm. He lays one down, and motions me to sit down. I smile, and do as offered. He sits next to me. "I'll hang up here to." he says smiling. Then, he takes the other blanket and throws it over us, I'm glad too, because it's getting kinda cold out. We sit in silence for a while, before I get tired. "Hey, don't wake me up if I fall asleep," I say, laying down on the covered concrete. "I like it up here." he chuckles. "Alright. Would you like me to get out of your "bed"?" He asks smiling. I think for a bit, but I decide that's it's fine. Its not like he'll be on top of me, or I'll be on top of him. "No, it's fine. Just make sure your carful not to wake me if you go back inside. I get cranky when I'm woken, and who knows what I'll do. This roof doesn't have rails." I joke, laughing. "Oh, and that reminds me, don't sleepwalk." he adds laughing as well. We both cringe at the thought. "Ya, I'll try not to." I reply, and he lays back down. I can feel the cold floor through the blanket, but it doesn't bother me too much. I look up at the sky, and see a single star. I definitely like it up here. I turn my head to to left of me, to look at Carl. He seems to be mesmerized by the one star. His bright blue eyes stand out in the sunset. They shine in what's left of the daylight. He is definitely one gorgeous boy. I smile. "Take a picture, it lasts longer." a voice says from behind. We both sit up and look towards the latter. It's Rick, of course. "What are you talking about, dad?" Carl whines, annoyed. "Well Y/N here has been staring at y..." "Was not!" I yell, interrupting him. Carl looks at me and winks. I scoff, and roll my eyes. "Carl, please explain to me why your sleeping with Y/N." Rick says angrily. "We only have two available blankets to use, so why not?" Carl argues. "Because you just met her. We can't trust her yet." Rick reasons back. Carl lets out an angry sigh, then stands up, making his way to his dad. "Dad... When I found her..." he whispers, then looks back at me. he turns back around to him and whispers quieter so I can't hear. Ricks eyes open wide, and he studies me. His face shows a sorry look. I know exactly what it's about. He continues to look at me as Carl whispers, but once he finishes, Rick climbs back down the latter, no words spoken. Finally, Carl climbs back under the blanket and lays down next to me. "I cleared some things up." he mumbles. "Thanks." is all I say. A long stretch of silence falls over us. "Y/N?" Carl asks finally, sounding innocent. "Yes Carl?" I laugh. "I just wanted to tell you something." He whispers. "Ok, what is it?" I ask. "When I walked into that room, and saw you underneath that man, I..." He sighs. "Out of everything I've seen in my life, that was probably what scared me most. I froze, almost threw up even. I was terrified." He sounds like he might cry. I frown. "It's ok now Carl. I'm fine, your fine, we're all ok." I comfort, looking into his blue orbs. Again, there's a long silence. Carl looks at me straight in the eyes. "Are you sure your ok?" He asks me sincerely. I pause for a moment. Am I? No. Not at all. I look down. I feel warm arms wrap around me. "I've been meaning to do this. It all happened so fast when it did, and I didn't get to ask you. I know I was terrified, but you continued to laugh and smile. Your one tough girl." He says as I sniffle into his chest. He pulls away slightly, and wipes away my tears. I pull him back into a hug. "Just a little longer, please?" I sniffle out. "Of course." We lay on the hard bed made of two blankets and a floor, for more time then I could count, until he started to shift around. I thought he was done with the hug, or shall I say cuddles, so I took my hands away from around his waist. I keep my eyes closed. "No. Stay." Carl whispers in a tired voice. I then feel soft lips peck mine. I open my eyes, and see that Carl's are still shut. His mouth is formed into a light, tired, smile. He pulls me closer, and I put my head on his chest. My chest is filled with an overwhelming sensation. I hold him tight, and eventually my eyes became heavy. I give him a final kiss on the cheek, and drift into a deep sleep.
