AMELIA

I was still mad at Asher for firing Eleanor.  I did the only thing I was doing most of the time. I went to find new books in the library to keep me occupied. Asher might have noticed the shift in behaviour, and was now currently staring at me from the entrance.

He entered the library, locking the door behind him with one hand while his other was in his pocket—something about this action of his made him hotter.

I had just read good humorous scene in the story and was snickering. But after noticing him, continuously staring at me, I abruptly stopped.

He came near me and bent down to my level, just a breath away. My heartbeat took its lead and began pacing loudly, so loud I wondered if he could hear it.

"Amelia, Zia calls you,"

"I don't want to see anyone." I said just to spite him.

"Tell that to her."

"Why didn't you re-employ her?"

"She said she did not want to work here, she was afraid she'd cause problems."

"You could have persuaded her. You're such an egoistic, Asher."

Then in a second, he closed the distance between us and his lips brushed mine. I totally lost my senses. His lips kissed mine for an infinite period while he took me in his arms and he pinned me on the table. He held my thighs with his rugged yet soft hands and I did nothing to stop him. The desire to feel him close to me filled my body and I couldn't help but let him.

He parted from me for a moment and stared into my eyes with his piercing grey ones. Then he started going down to my neck. Then moved towards my collar bone and then to my shoulders. I didn't know whether I should thank or curse at myself for wearing such a thin strap sundress, which, no doubt, was an easy access to Asher.

I threw my head back and tugged at his hair, pulling him close to me once again. My hormones were making me do crazy things right now. He gently pulled one of the straps a little down and I knew something was going to happen.

"What did you call me earlier, Juliette?" He asked, huskily.

I couldn't move my lips, everything was happening too fast.

"Cat got your tongue?" He murmured while nibbling on my earlobe.

Ugh... not there... not the earlobe.

My whole body shook with pleasure, as I clutched his shirt.

"I'm waiting for my answer, Juliette, you know I don't like ignorance." He spoke, now slowing moving to the right side of my neck.

"Ego..." Another wave of pleasure passed through me. "Continue..."

"E-egoistic..." I moaned at the end of the word.

Asher gave a slight chuckle, the sound doing things to my insides.

"Am I still an egoistic to you?" He whispered into my ear.

"Very... much..."

With one of my sleeves hanging dangerously low, he kissed me again, but this time, it was with an ignited passion, it was aggressive and harsh, with a hint of desperation in it.

His hands roamed over my face and hair. The heat between my legs grew at his divine touch and I let out a small moan. Within no time, he shifted the other sleeve too and I blushed profusely. He continued kissing me on my lips, making me forget about everything else. At that moment, only him and I existed and nothing else mattered. Not even the hatred that I had for him or what he had for me.
