Chapter 7: A Hangout

Trollex looking at KayKay asks her for a hangout just for the two of them. He saw Poppy and Branch talking to each other and he decided to ask them. "Hey, guys! Have you seen KayKay around here?" He asked. "Well, she says that she's gonna hang by the lagoon for a bit." Poppy said. "Great, I'll see you guys later." Trollex said as he was about to float away. "Wait, why did you ask though?" Branch asked.

Trollex looks to the side and rubs his arm as his blush slowly creeps across his face. "No reason, we want to hang." He said. "Mhm, yeah, right." Branch smirked. "Don't give me that look! We're just gonna hang for a while, okay? Cool, alright? See ya!" Trollex quickly dashes away, leaving the two to know about something. "You thinking what I am, Pops?" Branch asked. "Oh, I already got my camera and I'll call the others." Poppy smirked.

Meanwhile, KayKay was chilling by the lagoon with Laguna and Synth. "So, when you first came here, how did you tame the Cuddlepup?" Laguna asked. "I treated it like it was some sort of puppy and that's what I did." KayKay answered. "How tough? Every time, when we try it, it always attacks us but why do you think so?" Synth questioned. "Well, I have a real thing with animals." KayKay said then she noticed Trollex coming towards her.

"Oh, hey, Trollex!" She exclaimed. "H-Hey, KayKay. I have something to ask you." He said. "What is it?" "Well, I was wondering if...you wanna...go on a date- I mean, hangout...with only just the two of us." He said while KayKay slightly blushed dark purple. "So, are you asking her out on a date?" Synth teased, Trollex glared at him. "O-Okay, sure! I'll go with you." KayKay said. His blush slowly creeped across his face but it wasn't noticeable.

"Alright then, come on." Trollex gestured to her to follow him and they went off. "Laguna, you thinking what I'm thinking?" Synth smudged. "I'll call the others." Laguna said. The two were heading to the Techno Reef for some fun. When they reached, KayKay's eyes widened in amazement by the colorful neon sight of the reef. "It's like I'm in dream but in real life!" She exclaimed. "How many dreams did you had about this?" Trollex asked.

"Not that much. But my dream is back in the real world. I kinda wish that one was real." She whispered that last part. "What was that?" "N-Nothing! Anyways, there's something I've got to tell you." KayKay said. "Really? What is it?" Trollex asked. She went up close to him then boops his nose. "You're it." Then she quickly swims away. "Oh! So, that's how it's gonna be, huh? It's on!" He exclaimed before he followed her.

But when Trollex came around the corner, only to reveal that nothing was there. "What the...I could've sworn that I-" He suddenly heard some giggling behind him smirking. "Alright then. I'll check somewhere else to find her!" He shouted but he hid a rock. KayKay pokes her head out to see if the coast is clear and she slowly comes out of her hiding spot. "Heh, and he thinks that he's good at this. Well, two can play that game." She chuckled.

"Yeah, I wouldn't think about that part." She immediately turns around and gets tackled by Trollex, making them toss and turn throughout the place. When they stopped, they laughed but they didn't realize that they're on top of each other. "Um, Trollex?" She said. "Yeah?" He answered. "You can get off of me now." He notices then quickly gets up and helps KayKay up. "Sorry about that." She said. "No, it's okay. I tend to get overreact or over-excited about something." He said.

"Heh, Anyways, I was wondering...and thinking...do you like someone?" She asked. Trollex's face heats up from that question and begins to shake. "W-W-Wh-What?" He stuttered. "I wonder if you like someone? Like you like their being and personality but most importantly, their feelings." She said, Trollex stared at it for a few seconds then looked to the side. "Well...there's one that I like...cute, nice to others and knows how to get a crowd going." He said.

"But I don't know if I can tell her my feelings about them." "Hmm, maybe next time, we should talk about it, okay?" She asked. "Yeah, alright." He answered. "Anyways, I'll see you later." KayKay said then she gives Trollex a small kiss on the cheek before swimming off to somewhere, leaving the techno king a blushing mess. As KayKay continued to swim around, she thought 'Why did I do that? He told me that he likes someone and I just kiss on her while he likes someone else.'

"Ugh! It's pointless!" She shouted but when she slapped her hand to the rock, she heard someone exclaim in pain. KayKay looked and saw that Synth was wincing in pain. "Oh, shoot! Sorry Synth! I didn't notice you there!" KayKay exclaimed as she checked on the techno ambassador. "No, no, no, I'm good! I'm good! It wasn't that bad." Synth said. "Are you sure? Because you...wait a minute...what are you doing here?" She questioned.

He begins to sweat a bit. "I uh, I was checking around the place. Seeing the sights." Synth said nervously. "Okay, okay...Branch, Poppy, Laguna, get out here. I know you're behind those rocks!" She called out. "How the heck did she know we were there?!" Poppy exclaimed. "She knows everything, Poppy. We think that she wasn't looking but she actually is." Laguna said. "Well, guess what? You're right. I know everything and I know that you guys are hiding so you can spy on me and Trollex." KayKay said.

"What?" They said, "What makes you think about that?" Branch asked. "I heard you guys talking about it behind our backs." She said, "And besides, Trollex likes someone else. And also, again, no way that the king of techno would love a person like me. Anyways, I'll see you guys later." She swims off. "If only she knew." Laguna said with the others agreeing with her.
