"Is there a reason to why you're studying Mandarin? I'm curious to why you would choose this language." Renjun questioned, lying on the ground beside his student.

Donghyuck just simply answered, "I don't know, I felt like it." A very vague answer indeed, a sudden feeling hit and he started learning another language.

Renjun let out a giggle, "You just woke up one day and chose to learn a language that would take literally years to perfect?"

Donghyuck scooted closer to Renjun, "Well, I mean- Chinese and Korean are somewhat similar. But the grammar, I despise it."

"Why didn't you go for Japanese? Or English even? Those two would be more beneficial." Renjun asked the one next to him.

"Too late, I can't turn back now. I'm into it," Donghyuck turned his head, face to face, eyes to eyes with Renjun. "And I'm into you." He said the last sentence in Mandarin.

Cheeks heating up, "That was smooth, where did you even learned that?" Renjun bursted out laughing.

"Nah, I'm just fluent in flirting." Finishing their lesson an hour before, there was so much spare times on their hands. Renjun wasn't scheduled to teach after his lesson with Donghyuck, might as well spend quality times with someone.

He thought Donghyuck would want to do something exciting due to his usual energetic nature, however, the boy just wanted to talk. The two of them laid down on the floor next to each other and had a casual conversation. Why the floor and not the bed? Donghyuck preferred it over the bed and Renjun was nice enough to went with it.

"No, I just have back pain." Donghyuck told.

"Relatable." Renjun commented, an easy reply to a question he had for days. Everytime he came over, they would mostly had their lesson on the floor. Occasionally, the desk or the coffee table downstairs. Renjun was fine with it, his job was only to teach so the location hardly mattered.

Donghyuck
Have you eaten yet?

Renjun
Yeah, I picked up a sandwich
on the way home.

Donghyuck
You don't cook?

Donghyuck
Should I cook for you
next time?

Renjun
I bet you're a terrible cook ㅋㅋㅋ

Donghyuck
Wow, try saying that to my
face, you coward.

Renjun
Hah, bet.

Donghyuck would randomly checked up on him from time to time, asking whether or not he had eaten yet. Renjun found it very sweet, having someone that enjoyed talking to you. The love he received from Donghyuck always succeed to make him feel all warm inside, he never experienced that type of treatment from anyone else before.

Getting up for work once again, feeling slightly drained from last night. Renjun was absolutely not having it. Renjun argued with his senior on the phone, Kun complained about how he got more lessons on his schedule. Apparently, Jaemin told Kun about how he suggested that some of his lessons should be move to Kun's schedule.

"He's going to tell me that I'm wrong? I've seen his schedule, he literally have about three lessons in a week." Renjun exclaimed to his friend. "I have twenty in a fucking week, including weekends, of course I would complain about being overworked." He added, visibly frustrated.

Yangyang sipped his coffee, "Kun only teach Mandarin on the side, he have a main job so he can't show up that often."

"Oh...I didn't know that. What's his main job?" A long time of knowing each other, even working in the same department, how could he not know that this is just his senior's side job?

Yangyang revealed, "He's a musician, he work in his studio a lot that's why he's not here as often."

The guilt began building itself inside of him, "I should probably apologize, should I?" Yangyang slowly nodded, displaying a slight frown toward Renjun. "I didn't actually meant it when I told Jaemin to rearrange my schedule, maybe it's because I sounded too pissed off over the phone."

"Lehrer!" A student called in German from Yangyang's classroom.

Yangyang held his coffee, "My student's calling me, I'm going to head back. Good luck." Ending their conversation then and there, leaving Renjun alone in his classroom.

The sudden waves of sadness washed through him, slouching on his chair. He felt bad, angered, upset at himself. Would Kun think he didn't care enough? It's would be so awkward to push out his apology after the two of them fought on a half hour phone call. If only he could redo everything, stop complaining about hard work and just learn how to manage his times.

Grunting, Renjun threw himself onto his bed. Face hitting the mattress, muscles became less tense as he stretched his body.

"Long day?" Donghyuck brushed Renjun's hair gently, fingers lacing the many strands. Resting his head on the boy's lap.

Renjun told in a weak voice, "I fucked up, I fucked up bad. Ugh! Kun is going think that I'm a terrible friend." Snuggling closer to Donghyuck. Was he overreacting? It is a big deal? But he felt awful for doing such thing to his senior. In a way, Kun works much more than him, how dare him?

"There, there, don't be too sad. We all make mistakes in life, we should learn and improve from it." Donghyuck encouraged.

"Thank you, I needed that."

Sleeping leisurely on his bed, the warmth from the unknown enveloped him. Calming his inner vexation
to let himself rest.
