Chapter 3: calum

I picked up my phone and called his number.

"Hey Crystal", Calum answered his phone.

"Hey, sorry about my mom. She's just use to me never breaking the rules and stuff" I rolled my eyes.

"Oh, it's cool. So you wanna hang out tomorrow?", he asked.

"I don't think I can, I'm already in trouble.", I said worriedly.

"Come on. Just one more time, please!", he begged

"Fine. But where are we going?", I asked.

"Well there is a party tomorrow."

"What? I've never been to a high school party, mom says it's crazy there."

"It'll be fun! I'll pick at 5 tomorrow", he said," I have to leave now, bye beautiful", he said his voice so sweet.

"Bye" I blushed.

Before I hung up, I heard "babe" over the phone. It was a girls voice. A girls voice? Nah, maybe I'm just overthinking.

I went down stairs, "mom" I said " my friend is going to pick me up tomorrow at 5 and we will be studying at the library tomorrow, is that ok?", I asked, oh gosh did I just lie? This might seem like no big deal but I've never really lied to my mom before. As I said before, I alway acted like moms perfect girl because I never wanted my mom to be disappointed.

"Yes, but not with that guy, you hear me?", she said seriously.

"Yes mom."

I walked up stairs and did my homework and then I got a call from someone. Leo.

"Hey Leo" I said

"Hey." He replied

"Whatcha doing?"

"Homework. But um I was wondering if you wanted to stop by the library and study tomorrow?", he asked sounding nervous.

"Um, I'm so sorry. I have to go somewhere tomorrow with Calum.", I felt so bad.

"Oh, of course. It's fine, I'll see you in class.", he sounded disappointed.

"Sorry, bye"

Why did he sound disappointed? What was that? All I said was that I had to go with Calum? I'm probably just stressing over something that's not that important right now.

I went back to doing my homework and then got a message from Calum.

Calum: hey, don't go onto your porch ;)

What? My porch? What's wrong? I walked onto my porch and saw Calum.

"Calum?!", I didn't know what to do, "why are you here?"

"I just wanted to hang out with you. Something wrong?" He asked

"No, how are you going to get up?", I asked

"I have my ways" and he started to climb up.

Once he was up, we walked into my room.

"Nice room"

"Thanks"

"What are you doing right now?"

"Just ELA homework. Nothing fun." I sat down and started to read my book for class.

He leaned in a little. "So Whatcha reading"

"Oh this" showing him the cover and kinda leaning away. This was weird, I've never experience anything like this. Is this how it is when two people like each other? I mean I'm not even sure if he likes me and I like him. I've never actually like someone because my mom is always very protective. I've always been to an all girls school until now. My first year going to school with guys.

"Why are you leaning away" he asked smirking, "I won't do anything to you, but this." He leaned in and kissed me. Wow. Call me crazy, but I feel this spark when we kiss. It's weird, tingly, but mostly a good feeling. I kinda got nervous and dropped my book and my textbook fell onto the floor as well.

"Everything ok up there crystal", my mom asked.

He leaned away, "yes mom." I could hear her walking towards my room. "Hide!" I whispered to Calum and he hide under my bed.

My mom opened the door looking suspicious, "I thought I heard someone."

"Oh no one is in here, I'm just doing my homework for class." I said

"Ok" she said still concerned but walked away.

I let out a loud breath. So close! Wow and I just lied again, what's happening to me?!

Calum got out from under the bed.

"We got close there, so where were we?" He asked

"Um wel-"

He interrupted me with another quick kiss and leaned away. He was getting a call and on the screen I think it said a girls name, something like "Nicole"? Im not sure. But I'm sure it could be his sister or someone, I don't have to worry.

"Hey", he said into the phone

"Yes, I will be there. Bye", he said.

"I have to go crystal, I will pick you up tomorrow. Bye", and gave me a hug.

"Bye" I said. He went onto my porch, climbed down, and got into his car and drove away.

I went back inside and got a text massage from him.

Calum: Goodnight ;) see you tomorrow beautiful
