Chapter 8: jealousy

"I'm done changing mom, just in case you were wondering" I said walking down the stairs.

"Yeah, yeah. Bury, fix her some light food to eat. I'm going to go to bed and you will afterwards too crystal.", she walked up stairs, "oh and you can too Bury." And she was gone.

Bury gave me some salmon with some potatoes and a side of salad.

"Thank you." I said. I quickly finish it up because I didn't eat at the party at all and I'm starving! When I was done, I put my plate into the sink.

"Mrs. Johnson, I mean Bury, could you clean that plate for me?" I asked politely.

"Yes miss." She said and started to clean it.

"Thank you" I said and headed up stairs.

When I was bout to go to bed I got a text from Calum.

Calum: goodnight my beautiful 😘

Crystal: goodnight 😊

I went to sleep fast.

*a month later
(A/N: I just want to speed it up a little and nothing important really happened in that past month.)

"Bye mom, bye dad." I walked out the door and was looking for Calum.

when I was waiting, my phone beeped. I received a text from Calum.

Calum: sorry babe, but I won't be able to pick you up today.

Crystal: oh, it's fine. I'll try to get a ride.

I decided to text Leo.

Crystal: hey Leo, is there anyway u could pick me up and take me to school?

He replied within seconds.

Leo: yeah, of course. Just send me your address and I'll be there.

I sent him my address.

Crystal: thanks Leo. Oh and park a few houses away please.

I don't my parents to see. And I'm surprise that my parents haven't found out about Calum and I yet. I waited for a little bit and he showed up. I walked towards his car. He got out and opened the car door for me.

"Thanks" I got into the car. "And thanks for picking me up so suddenly.

Leo's POV

"Yes, no problem." I told her. Wow I'm getting nervous. I was planning that this was a great time to tell her my true feelings.

"So, um I want to tell you something." I nervously said. How do I say this.

"Yeah, go ahead." She smiled.

I continued driving and looking forward.

I have to tell her.

"So" I tried telling her but no words would come out.

Crystal just looked at me confusedly.

I can't do it. She will just reject me and she will just think I'm trying to ruin her relationship with Calum.

"Never mind." I said. I breathed out loudly.

"Are you sure?" She asked.

"Yea" I continued driving.

"Ok." She answered.

"So, who are you planning on doing the ELA project with?" I changed the subject.

"I don't knew, what about you?" She asked.

"I don't know either. But I was wondering if you wanted to work with me." I started to sweat.

"Yeah, sure!" She smiled.

I smiled.

Crystal's POV

When we got to school. We walked to the front doors. I saw Calum hanging with some of his friends. There was a girl who was flirting with me. And he was flirting back. I started to get really jealous.

"Something wrong?" Leo asked me and then looked towards my direction, "oh."

"I'm going to go now. I'll see you in ELA." I tried to smile at him.

"Yeah, bye" he walked away.

I started to speed walk toward Calum.
