part two of the last chapter! it'll most likely be more fluff, a tiny bit of angst implied like, once, but mostly fluff. this is the story on how they met / got together. :]
---

Their relationship had once been quite complicated.

Goodboyhalo was the cliche athletic kid who made fun of the kids who participated regularly in class, yet had a shitty life back home. Of course, Goodboyhalo was just a nickname, but people either didn't want to upset him, as he despised his name, or just didn't know what it was.

Jef, on the other hand, was creative. He loved getting his hands on projects, resulting in him being one of the very few people to willingly go up first in a presentation and get a good grade on it. This, of course, made him a target for Good.

But it just seems like another cliche enemies to lovers type of deal, what's so special about this? Well, my friend, a lot of people never knew their relationship, even their closest of friends were unsure despite being told every possible detail.

Good continuously flirts with Jef, while at the same time he takes the opportunity of a very flustered Jef to make fun of his "goody-two-shoes" lifestyle. But it wasn't until Jef started questioning everything himself when things took for the better.

Eventually Jef concluded that he was gay, those who identified as female never really stuck to him in that way, they were just really good friends. Those who identified as male, however, he would go head over heels for them. Watching from a distance as they would catch his eye and make his insides flutter.

Good himself had kept something away from everyone else, too, and that was the fact that he too wasn't straight, but pansexual. He didn't really care about the gemder identity of others, as long as he got along tremendously well with the other person, there would be a chance he would develop feelings.

Unlike Jef, his signs were a bit more subtle, yet decently obvious. His face would flush as well, but it would be fainter unless Good allowed himself to show how easily flustered he could be. He might be the type to dig up flirty remarks towards others, but as soon as others do it to him in return, he becomes a stuttering, red-faced mess until he or the other person either started laughing, or move on with their day.

But it around a week later when one day Jef caught himself fanboy-ing over none other than Goodboyhalo. He found it odd at first, but having had a number of past crushes himself, he already knew the signs he would receive.

When Good would pin him against the wall, he couldn't help but feel his breath get faster, his cheeks would flush and heat up, and his eyes would stare at every possible detail on the other's face. His lips that were a bit chapped and his dark navy blue eyes always caught his attention the most, but he had to use all of his willpower to look away from the features he loves most.

At this point there was no denying it; Jef had started to develop a crush on the male to takes pride on making fun of others, but he wouldn't hold it against Good, as he knew the other must have a valid reason to be this way towards others.

Good, however, started to notice something off when he would be near the artistic boy. Jef's face stopped showing the slightest glimpse of annoyance, and was instead replaced with shyness. Good knew he wasn't an idiot, he could very clearly see the crimson hued face of the shorter male. What puzzled him the most was why the other was beginning to take a liking to him. For all he knew, the majority of people dislike his cocky attitude and how prideful he was.

But a single day in May is when fate laid its eyes upon the two, changing their world forever.

Jef had been sitting under a tree, a birch one, to be exact. He was sketching a flower blooming near him as he needed more practice when it came to drawing objects, plants, and animals you might see on the regular.

He had an earbud in and the other out in order to be able to hear someone if they called his name, as people had always complained that Jef never heard them because his ears were plugged with earbuds and flooded with music. He could very much hear, though, the others just talked quietly and would get mad at Jef when he couldn't hear them.

Everything was well until his playlist provided him with a song he knew all too well. Out of pure instinct, he closed his sketchbook and put it to the side along with his utensils as swiftly as possible before the vocals began.

Sitting up properly against the stump of the tree, he began to quietly sing along to none other than Harry Dacre's "Daisy Bell". Of course, due to how old this song is, Spotify didn't have the original song, resulting in Jef singing along to a cover inspired by the first computer to sing, IBM7094, as this machine had sung the chorus of the exact same song back in the '60s.

Now, you may be wondering; how exactly does this have to do in the drastic change in Jef and Good's relationship in their final days of school?

Well, you see, Good had been sitting on a nearby fountain, splashing and swishing the water with his hands, very visibly bored. He was minding his own business there, but as he was on the verge of leaving, he heard a faint tune of his favorite song.

One might think that an overconfident person like Goodboyhalo might like their stereotypically given songs like Rap or something along those lines, but Good was really into Pop and music a lot of people wouldn't normally listen to. Though genres didn't really matter to him, his favorites always landed into Pop and Indie, having key elements that could be traced back into the weirdcore aesthetic.

So when Good heard the sound of Daisy Bell being sung nearby, he quickly got up in search of the source.

He didn't know what he expected once he found where the song was coming from, but it most certainly wasn't the pumpkin obsessed boy he knew from school.

It shocked him, followed by awe, instead of something negative. The person he "hated" the most knew his favorite song, so he could maybe up his positive points a bit.

Good walked over and made himself at home next to the younger.

Startled, Jef spoke up with a flushed up face, not expecting someone to have heard him sing.

"Ah, um, Good! What're you doing here?" He questioned, trying to make the heat from his face disappear.

"What d'ya mean? Can't a guy enjoy a nice time at a random park and laugh at toddlers who fall over on the pavement? Plus, you put on a hell of a show that I can't afford to miss," Good explained without a care in the world.

"Oh, come on, it couldn't have been that nice. My singing isn't that good."

"You sing well, buddy, plus, it wasn't exactly about your singing. You just so happen to be singing to my favorite song, and your voice fits it quite well."

As the day went on, the two bonded more than they thought they would, their perspectives of each other drastically increasing in a more positive way.

As you know, of course, the two ended up getting together in a committed romantic relationship. Good had confessed under the shade of a young willow tree near a lake in the very same park they found each other due to the song. Holding hands and peddling away at their life together on a bicycle that somehow fit the both of them was everything they could've asked for.

_____

yes I got lazy at the end, this has 1350+ words and I've been working on it since yesterday, I just wanted to get it done-

am i adding references to the song? yes.
is children falling over on cement a good source of entertainment? yes, being on the top floor of a school building makes it better.
hotel? trivago.

the following chapter should be their wedding, but I am gonna take a day off or something my hands hurt a bit from typing on the bathroom floor-

PS. I may reopen chapter requests soon, after I rewrite and finish a draft I've had for who knows how long. It'll take a while, yes, but I'll try to keep up with requests :))
