Dream falls into the void instead

In the older timeline...

They blinked and got out, "is this the multiverse the one where Dream ended up in?" Nightmare asked a bit puzzled but there was a tree that looked like the trees of feelings but..different...

Sci shrugged and looked through his phone that he had connected to the machine, "it seems to be..but it's a bit..off?"

Sci frowned with a puzzled look.

"Off how?" Killer asked with a confused look.

Sci shrugged, "it seems a bit older."

Dust paused and started thinking, older...wait..is this an older timeline of where Dream ended up at? Well fuck.. dust thought and his eye sockets widen at that thought, he opened his mouth to say as much before another familiar voice called out to them.

They all turned to look and eyes widen with surprise at dream but looking older.

The older dream walked over to them with a hint of a tired look.

"You all haven't aged a day..guessing your the past version of my family and friends..."Dream said with a sigh.

"Past version? How long as it been for you dream?" Nightmare questioned and Dream gave them a look.

"I lost count after a thousand years again..." Dream replied and leaned back against one of the trees and their eyes widen again, upset that Dream had to wait even that long despite it seeming to them that they went into the older timeline and not the present timeline where their dream was at.

"Shit..we have to fix the machine to make sure we go into the correct timeline..." blue mentioned with a concerned look.

"Hm. I do hope for my younger selfs Shake, that you do find him soon. It's very..tiring to go on for so long without my friends and family..the moment you find him and bring him back..I won't exist anymore..and it will be a huge relief..." the older Dream mentioned and nightmare pulled him close and the negativity withdrew.

Showing the older dream his passive form and the older dream froze up, eyes widen with surprie and gently brought his hands up to nightmares white skeleton face, "I never thought..." dream started but didn't finish saying before he just hugged nightmare close and didn't let go.

Not even when Sci and the others started working on the machine to get it to the right timeline for their dream.

Dust guessed it was because dream never thought he would see his twin looking like that again. Well he doesn't blame him, nightmare after all, doesn't go into that form often, he can count the number of times nightmare did around his gang on one hand.

Though he knows the others who didn't know about nightmares passive form would be surprised, if they didn't need to start working on the machine so it would link up to their timeline and the timeline Dream ended up in.

Hopefully it hasn't been too long for their dream when they finally get there...dust hoped a little bit knew to never have too big of a hope less he becomes very disappointed with the outcome.

Dust thought to himslef and helped work on the machine as the older dream cuddles his brother close and just wouldn't let go, know when he did, was when they leave to get their dream and he wouldn't exist anymore when that dream heads back to his multiverse with his friends and family...

It was sad..but a huge relief for when that happens..he was just so very tired to be without his brother and friends...

But at least..after when they finish fixing the machine again...he will finally be home...

I know some of you have been waiting for this story to be updated and like I didn't have much ideas and couldn't make it longer despite all the wait and sorry for that.

I don't have anymore ideas for any chapters after.
