03 : Secrets of Past

Jimin's hand shakes as he crumples the paper, throwing it "This can not be true!" He didn't want to believe it but everything made sense if he thought about it. From what he knows his sister was pale, almost blue when she died as if she had ice in her veins.

He felt a mix of emotions knowing now that you were the reason his sister left this world, that she was struck by your ice all those years back and it froze her heart. He was angry, upset, a small part of him glad, glad that he finally knew what happened to his sister.

"What happened J-Jimin?" Lisa asks sniffling "Is she in trouble?" She comes next to him and peers over his shoulder at the paper, her eyes sadden remembering the moment "She was your sister...I am sorry Jimin.." Taehyung looked at them confused and looks at the latter with a questioning look.

"We should get going" Jimin says blankly, informing the ministers to handle things here till they return "Where are we going?" Taehyung asks confused "To help y/n" Jimin says in a matter of fact tone.

Both Lisa and Taehyung couldn't tell what he was thinking. After the letter from you Lisa thought he would hate you, then why was he going to help you?

Jimin and Lisa get on the horses and Taehyung gets on Bang (the reindeer) as Jimin leads the way to where you and him went, Lisa kept glancing at Jimin trying to figure out what was going on in his head. Hours pass with not even a single word exchanged.

"Psst Tae" Lisa calls for him, pouting when he doesn't respond "Tae!" She whispers louder, kicking his leg from the side "What is it?" Taehyung whispered back, disgruntled. She nudges her chin towards Jimin, he sighs and goes closer to Jimin.

"Hey everything ok?" He asks while Lisa facepalmed. Jimin just nods and Taehyung comes back next to Lisa "See he is fine" He whispers "Obviously he'll say that! Go distract him or something" Lisa angrily whispers "Everything ok you two?" Jimin asks looking back at the couple who were whispering aggressively "Yes!" Both say in union, Looking at them with a raised brow Jimin turns front.

"Let's take a break here" Jimin said, noticing they were approaching the shadow forest.

A myth surrounded the forest that the souls of the people who disappeared during the rift loom over it because of which most people never entered those woods. The trees spread so wide and tall that it engulfed the forest ground in it's shadow, hence the name Shadow forest.

Lisa and Taehyung get off and feed their respective rides some apples "How long will it take from here?" Taehyung asks, munching on an apple himself "Lisa do you remember anything about the place she asked you to return from?" Jimin questioned so he could have an idea of the time it'll take to reach you. "Not clearly but we had set a camp there for more than a day and lit fire so there should be traces of that" Jimin nods his head "I suppose we should reach her in half a day's time unless we aren't able to track where she went from there"

"I'll go check if we can get some fresh water around here" Taehyung says before walking away. Sighing, Jimin looked at Lisa who was sitting on the ground looking at the sky.

He was thinking whether or not to ask her about what happened with his sister. Sitting next to her he looked her way "Lisa...can I ask you something..?" She nods facing towards him "Can you tell me what exactly happened with my..sister?" Lisa's eyes sadden as she looks down "Me and y/n were playing when your father came to meet our father, your sister had come along and I invited her to play with us. While we were playing , suddenly y/n's hands started to glow and she froze the whole floor, she kept screaming and asking someone to stop it." She pauses, swallowing the lump that formed in her throat.

"y/n had no control over it, whatever her ice hit froze ..Your sister went to her to help her but ended up getting struck herself. After that incident, with the help of some people father had me forget the events of that night" Jimin's eyes were widened for a fraction, before he could say something Taehyung returned "I couldn't find any water" "I'll go check" Jimin said leaving.

After some time they start riding again, Lisa looks around as a chill runs down her spine. The whole forest was quiet, not even the sound of wind could be heard. Taehyung looked over his shoulder, feeling someone's gaze, he saw a bush move but the movement was so little he thought he imagined it.

A pair of emerald eyes blink staring at the three before quietly following them.
