14 : Breaking the barrier

Taehyung and Lisa took the elder troll to the cave in the hollow. The pixies surprisingly didn't bother them this time. 

"This is the cave grandpa," Taehyung stated as the elder troll entered the cave followed by Taehyung and Lisa. The elder  troll opened the book that he carried here with him and turned to a particular page before mumbling some incoherent words, which Taehyung guessed as the troll language. When the elder troll stopped mumbling the wall in the cave cracked open, Lisa flinched at the sudden movement and stood behind Taehyung. 

The elder troll walked inside with the couple right behind him, looking around warily. The sudden light coming out from the sliding wall made them shield their eyes with their hand. The blinding white light was soon replaced by lights of the colour blue, green, white and red emitting from a sphere. 

The elder troll placed his palms on the sphere with his eyes closed assessing its magic. "What is it, grandpa?" Taehyung asked. "The spirits' essence is put in this to create the barrier, we have to take it out of this to break the barrier," the troll explained. "Then breaking it will break the barrier too" Lisa says, happy that it was going to be easy.

"No, if we break this it will cause an explosion. It's not safe," the troll said. Taehyung was about to ask what else to do when the elder troll spoke, "We have to get the spirits to draw them back themselves." Lisa thought for a moment and nodded, "the villagers could help us," she said. "Let's go," Lisa looked at Taehyung as they both left the cave and made their way towards the elementals.  

Lisa and Taehyung saw the fire creature when they were on their way and it followed them. After asking the elementals to help them with the wind and water spirit, they were about to leave when Yeontan tugged on Lisa's clothes. "What is it, Tan?" She asked, Tan nodded his head towards the direction where Mochi was, Lisa saw how Mochi was slowly fading into small snow crystals. 

"Mochi!" Lisa quickly ran towards Mochi and tried to take him in her hands, but he kept melting. "Y/n… something happened to her! Taehyung! Something happened to my sister!" She cried out. Fear, panic and worry stirred in her. 

"Lisa, nothing would have happened, Jimin is with her, don't worry," Taehyung said, trying his best to console her even though he himself was scared of what Mochi's disappears meant. 

"How can I not worry Taehyung?! Look her magic is fading away," she pointed at Mochi who was now only a pile of snow. "For now let's concentrate on breaking the barrier Lisa, after that let's go for them, hmm?" Taehyung gave her a reassuring smile, placing a hand on her shoulder. Lisa hesitantly nodded. 

After hours of hard work and planning, they successfully made the 3 spirits drawback their essence and now only the earth spirit was left. "Taehyung bring the sphere as far away from the cave as it will let you. I will bring the earth spirit," Lisa said. "How will you do that?" He asked. 

"I am not sure yet but I'll figure out something once I reach it" she said, as she walked out of the hollow once again and towards the place where the earth spirits were. Lisa looked around and  took a deep breath before throwing a big rock at the earth spirit which was resting. When the rock hit its face, it groaned and got up, looking around at it's eye level to find the thing that ruined it's sleep. 

Lisa ran a few feet away from it and shouted, "I am here! Catch me if you can!" The earth spirit stands up with a growl and  started to walk towards her, with it's enormous foot. Lisa turns around and starts running as fast as she could. 

As soon as they neared the hollow, the few elementals who were present there, Taehyung and the elder troll moved a few feet away from the sphere. Lisa reached the sphere with the earth spirit behind her.

She was about to move out of the way so that the earth spirit could step on the sphere, but before she could she heard her sister's voice calling for her. Lisa froze in her spot and looked around, "y/n!" She called out for her sister. 

Taehyung knew it was the pixies playing again. He saw the earth spirit was nearing her, he immediately ran towards Lisa and pulled her away from the enormous foot which crushed the sphere and the green light glowed from under it's foot. The explosion was not as powerful with the power of 3 spirits gone and the rest of its impact was avoided because of the bigfoot of the earth spirit. 

The sky cleared above them, as the sun shone from above, the bright blue sky was seen now instead of the grey sky and the clouds appeared. The villagers cheered in joy, seeing the clear sky after a very long time. 

Taehyung helps Lisa up and was about to go back to where the other people were when Lisa heard y/n's voice calling out for her from the hollow again, she freed her hand from Taehyung and ran deep into the hollow.
