Florence's point of view

So today we are going to perform. I went first to the competition place. I saw many other people also. Liam did not come as he is struck somewhere.

Now the audience we're coming and sitting. Liam did not come till now. I saw Noah and Janice coming. They sat in the front row.

The competition started, still he did not come. Now I was getting tensed. We were number 8 and already 2 performances are done.

Now 4 performances are done. He still didn't come. And now our name was being called. I didn't go on the stage. I don't want to start without him.

I went near the management and staff. I asked them "Sir can you change my number... My partner did not still come"
"Sorry it's not possible, only if someone exchanges it"

The announcements were happening "Florence and Liam. Come on the rink"

I was requesting the management to change. Suddenly a couple spoke "We will take her place. Can we?"

I turned towards him happily. They spoke "We are the last contestants number 14. You can take our place"

I was so happy. Now announcements changed "Now Carolyn and James are performing"

I went in and sat tensed. I messaged him. He was still struck. Janice messaged me "don't worry he'll come"

Now the number performing is 12. Only 2 are left. Number 13 was going. I was praying for him to come so hard.

Now it is again my turn, last chance. I had to go on rink this time. I went, but just stood. The music started playing. But I did not.
Announcement"Please start. If your partner is absent you can still start"

Janice and Noah was shouting "Florence start! See her video called me and told to start. He is on his way. He is telling you to start! Start!"

I was just standing. After 5 minutes again announcements "You will be disqualified. Start it"

Everyone was looking at me, but I was only looking for that one person.

I spoke "Everyone... I'm sorry... without him... I drop out..."

Suddenly I heard a panting sound "Florence!"

I turned around. It was Liam. I skated towards him as in saw him. He wasn't able to walk properly and hid face was a boy swollen. "What happen to you what are you in this condition?"

"Not that didn't matter just let's go and start"
"But...."

He held my hand and started. He spoke to audience "hello we are Liam and Florence"

Then we started. Even though he was not about to walk properly, he was sharing amazing.

After the performance we got a nice applause. We went back. We both sat for the results. At the time we are sitting I asked him "Now tell what happened"

He replied while looking at me "Ben"
"Ben?" Ugh what the hell did he do now again?"
"I was on my way, as I left Ben stopped me. He did not want me to come to the competition..."
"How does he know that you were coming here?"
"He transferred in our collage for you..."
I sighed "Ohk then what happened?"
" He was trying to create a bad impression about me on you... So he didn't let me move. We both fought. He even came with a bat, all prepared to hurt me. I didn't want violence... But he made me do it, I too started to hit him. He hit me on head, and ran away. I was going to become unconscious but remembered you. Just for you my brain was awaking me..."
"Ben... The worst chapter in my life"

Liam's point of view

There was a moment of silence...
Florence spoke "Hey can I hug you?"
"What?"
She hugged me. I hugged her back slowly
There were butterflies emerging in my stomach. Not only in stomach, but also in heart, lungs, liver, brain all over...

She spoke softly "Thank you so much. You did a lot for me..."
Words were not coming from my mouth "It's not a big deal... Flo"
"I have a gun..."
"What?"
"If he ever creates problem for you... I'll just simply erase him from this world. It will be clean"

I smiled.

She spoke "I love you"
I got out from hug and looked at her "Wh.. what!"
"Not in that way...as a friend"

On her sentence I was blanked for a while... Planned everything... Marriage, career, 2 little children, growing old together and be happy for ever and also I am going to propose her tomorrow, new year.

Suddenly the announcements spoke "Now the results are being declaring"
Claps can be heard.
All the contestants we're coming up
Someone got 3rd position.
"2nd position goes Jason and Lexi!"
Claps we're heard.

I, noha and Janice were having tensed faces but Florence was happy laughing. "And the final winner had some tough competition. The winners are Carolyn and James!"

I was utterly disappointed, but she was applauding them a lot"
"Why are you so happy?" I asked her.
She replied "It's due to them... Today I was able to perform with you or else I would have been disqualified a long ago..."
I thought to my self, such a humble and selfless creature she is.

Suddenly the announcements started "Everyone attention! The tough fight was between the winners and the couple Liam and Florence."
I sighed
"And we decided that Florence and Liam are selected for the nationals! A  hearty Congratulations to them!"

We were blank. The audience stood up and gave a big round of applause.
"They also won the skaters if the decade award! Once again congratulations to them"

Everyone started to scream our name. Florence was not at all able to speak.
