This is a father/daughter imagine

I parked my car in the parking lot. I sat there, in the car, debating whether I was actually going to do this. I was really nervous to meet my father.

I finally decided to get out of the car. I got out of the car and walked to the door of the condo my father lived in. I soon reached the door. I lifted my fist to knock. I was hesitant because I was really nervous. After a few moments I knocked on the door.

A few moments later the door opened and a man stood in the doorway. "Do you need something? " the man asked.

"Uh, uh , no, " I said nervously.

"Alright, why are you here then? " the man asked.

"Are, are you Peter Hale?" I asked.

"Yes, why?" the man I know knew was my father asked.

"I, uh, I'm y/n, I'm your, your daughter, " I said nervously.

My father stood there with a shocked look on his face. He stood to the side and asked awkwardly, "Do you uh, want to come in?"

"Sure," I said. I then walked in. He closed the door after I walked in.

"You can take a seat in the living room if you would like," my father said. I  walked over to the living room and took a seat. "Would you like anything to eat or drink? " he asked.

"Um, no thank you, " I said.

"Alright, " he said. He then walked into the living room and sat down.

"Damn it. I came here wanting to meet you and I just don't know what to say. God I never know what to say, " I said.

"Well how about how you found me,"  my father said.

"Well I first found out I was adopted, obviously. I then found my birth certificate and saw you were my father. I did some research and found out where you lived and now here I am, " I said.

"Well that's good. Why didn't you go looking for your mother first? " my father asked.

"Well I tried to find her, did all the research I could, but it turns out she's dead, " I said.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know," he said.

"You don't have to be sorry. You didn't know that she died. I know I didn't know her  but I wish I did, " I said.

My father nodded. "That makes sense. She was your mother after all, " he said.

"I have an idea. How about we just get dinner and try to get to know each  other? " I asked.

"Sounds good to me, " my father said.
