Kabanata 5 | "Take a photo of us..."
I wear a black fitted dress and paired with black stiletto and put some make-up and decided to do my hair in a high ponytail,and I'm ready to go.
There's a annual party in ZGC,and as the new CEO I have to be there.
I smiled in the mirror after I check myself before I went downstairs.
At the end of the staircase,Renuah is waiting...Looking so fresh in his new clean cut hair and in his tuxedo,he eyed me intently and when I am about to get near him,he offered his calloused hand to me.
I allowed him to do it and put my small hand to his hand.
"Mag-ingat kayo sa daan,Thaitum...Tumawag kayo kung makaka-uwi kayo o hindi,para hindi ako mag-alala."Manang Dorna said,like we are heading to a Junior's Prom.
Ngumiti ako sa kanya at tumango.
"We can handle it,Manang...We will just inform you if ever."I said.
Tumango-tango ang matanda at sinamahan pa kami palabas ng mansyon hanggang sa nasa harap na kami ng sasakyan.
Renuah opened the door in passenger's seat for me.
I entered and when he closed it,nakita ko pa syang kina-usap sandali si Manang Dorna bago sya pumasok sa driver's seat.
He looked at me if I am all set before he he talked to his walkie talkie before he drives.
Ganon palagi ang galaw nya if I will go somewhere.
He will open the car's door for me,he will enter in the driver's seat and check me then talk to his walkie talkie before he drive,and honestly I got used to it.
"Anong oras matatapos ang party,Miss?"He asked.
Tinignan ko ang wrist watch ko.
"Maybe twelve or one,alas tres palang naman."I answered.
In four hours drive from San Laurente to Manila,I am just quiet and didn't have the courage to talk to him like usual because of the last immersion we had.
"Are we going to check inn,Miss?"Tanong nya ng nasa harap na kami ng Hotel kung saan gaganapin ang annual party.
I eyed him with a shocked expression in my face because of his question.
"What I mean is,we arrived early so I think you would like to calm yourself first and we can check inn,Miss...What are you thinking?"He stated with an amusement on his voice.
Naramdaman kung nagsi-akyatan ang dugo sa aking pisngi kaya nag-iwas ako ng tingin.
"Y-You can avail a room then."I said,and for pete's sake I stuttered!
He gave the car key to the hotel valet and he motioned his arms to me.
Nag-aalangan man,I put my hands into his arm and let him assist me as we enter the hotel.
I let him talked to the front desk and avail a room for the meantime. And looking at the woman in the front desk ogling to him,makes me want to roll my eyes but I tried my hardest to stop myself.
And why would I roll my eyes?Ano ko ba sya?!
It took him almost fifteen minutes bago sya makakuha ng key card.
He then assist me again and we went to the elevator.He press the floor number five.
"Kung sakaling magagabi tayo, it's better if we just stay in the room we avail to prevent any further accidents...Ako nalang ang tatawag kay Manang Dorna to inform her,Miss."He said,and all I could do is to nod.
