CHAPTER SEVEN

"What am I mother," Amber asked crying looking so scared and in shock.
"What do you mean love?" Jarret asked as she walked over to her daughter looking at her worried.
"I killed a man," Amber said in a low voice.
"I killed someone" She screamed falling to the ground.
"it's okay my love. I am sure you did not mean to do it" Jarret said rubbing her hair.

"Leave me alone mother. I asked a question" Amber said pulling away from her mother's hug.

"I am afraid I do not understand," Jarret said staring at Amber.

"I killed him by fire mother. I burnt him with my mind," Amber said surprised by the words that were coming out of her mouth.
"I'm a murder," she said calmly.
"Calm down princess. I will bathe you then we would talk about what happened" Jarret said leading Amber to the washing room.
"You can have a seat here. We'll be back" Jarret said looking at Bret who obediently sat down on the ground

After Jarret bathed Amber and changed her clothes into clean ones, they went to meet Bret in the other room. Amber was still in shock about what she did.

"Let's talk about it over dinner," Jarret said
They all went to the little table in the house where they use to eat and everyone sat down.
Bret ate like he hadn't eaten in days. Jarret watched him finish the entire bowl of pottage.
"Do you want more?" Jarret asked him.
"I would love some," he said and Jarret fetched more for him.

" Darling, you haven't touched your food," Jarret said to Amber but she didn't reply.
"Tell me what I am mother or I might just turn mad," Amber said throwing her bowl to the ground which broke into pieces.  
Jarret did not say anything. she just looked at Amber in surprise and shock. No words could leave her mouth.

"He called me an Alosia mother. what is that?"
"He called you Aloisia?" Jarret asked in shock

"He must be mistaking. I thought it was a myth. I don't believe this" Jarret said shocked.

"An Aloisia is a warrior. The Aloisia and Aloysius arise in a time of suffering and injustice to bring justice to the people"

"what? I don't understand mama"

"If what he said is true, you are the Aloisia. you are the promised warrior. I'm so sorry for not telling you but I was not sure"

"Your white hair should have made me confirm but I thought the story of the Aloisia and the Aloysius was just a legend"

"So I am a legendary warrior with powers?"

"I guess you are my dear," Jarret said excitedly.

"Warriors are not murderers," Amber said in something that was meant to be a murmur but everyone heard her crystal clear.

"You are no murderer. You saved my life" Bret said looking at Amber with gratitude.

"You also saved my life," Amber said with a weak smile.

"After putting you in the mess," Bret said in disgrace and shame.

"Can you all tell me what happened?" Jarret asked. 

"I do not wish to talk about it," Amber said sadly
"Perhaps Bret could tell you about it," She said

"It was all my fault, my lady. I was deceived and I put your daughter into such an unfortunate mess"

"it's okay and please speak freely when you talk to me"

Bret smiled and continued to talk.

"A man named Randal told me that Amber was his daughter. He came to me with his brother Gregg and two other men telling me that they are Amber's family and she ran away from home. They asked me if I wanted to make a few coins and I of course said yes"
"I didn't know it would have caused so much trouble. The man took her and gave me some coins. For a moment there I was going to leave her but if I did, I would have never forgiven myself." Bret said as he took a deep breath crying. He started crying louder and he looked sad.

"it's okay. continue" Amber said as she cried too but she smiled at him.

"When I came back I was trying to save Amber and in the process of fighting I killed Gregg and when Gregg's brother Randal tried to kill me, Amber saved me"

"I'm so sorry you killed someone because of me," Bret said to Amber staring at her.

"it's okay he was going to kill you and I honestly did not know what I was doing," Amber said honestly.

"So mother. Where do you think the Aloysius is?"

"I don't know. He must be somewhere out there"

"Do you have anywhere to go?" Jarret asked Bret
"Pardon?"

"Do you have any family you would like to return to?" she asked

" Of course I do. my mom would be waiting for me," he said with a fake smile and it was obvious he was lying.

Jarret and Amber looked at each other then Jarret said
" It's okay if you stay with us, for now, it is really"

"I'm sorry I lied to you. I have nobody. I have been on my own for a long time and anyone that decides to be nice to me ends up throwing me out in a week or two. I'm sure I'm too much of a burden to them " Bret said and everyone just felt sad for him.

"it's okay. You can stay as long as you want. I'll take care of you. it's a promise" Jarret said as she hugged him tightly.

"Mama, I think I'll go sleep. I'm not feeling too well" Amber said as she stood up and fell to the ground. she had faint as her body fell to the ground where the broken bowl pieces were.

"Princess," Jarret screamed
Bret and Jarret stood up as fast as possible and they carried Amber and laid her on the bed in the room.

Jarret began to remove the glasses from Amber's body as she cried her eyes out.

"Gods, please help the princess" She muttered softly.

"What do you mean princess?" Bret asked confused as Jarret turned to Bret looking shocked that Bret heard her.
