CHAPTER NINE

Call the royal physician" The Queen screamed even more.
"My husband. My sweat King, please wake up" She said as she cried like her life was over.
More guards and the royal physician came in.

"Do not worry too much my Queen" the royal physician assured her but she did not listen. she cried and cried as if she has lost everything in her life.

"I do not care what you will do to make him better but please don't let anything happen to the man I love," she said still weeping.

The physician nodded then examined the King for a few minutes and looked at the Queen.

"what's wrong?" she asked the Physician looking worried.

"Do not think too much my Queen. The King is alright. It seems like he was poison. He is alright but the poison is going to make him asleep for at least two days" The physician said.

"What kind of poison would do such a thing," the Queen asked still crying

"it's a poison gotten from the nightshade plant. He has all the symptoms of the poison. The white palm, the rashes on his neck, and the blue lip. I am certain he was poisoned by that particular plant" The physician said looking at the Queen with certainty but all she did was cry more.

"Thank goodness he's alright," the Queen said and she wept a little bit.

Dryk Bolton, the Captain of the king's guard came in and bowed to the Queen.

"Your Highness. I came as quick as I found out"
Dryk said as the Queen smiled a little.

"What happened to His Highness," Dryk asked the royal physician who then looked at the Queen for permission to tell him. The Queen gave a little nod and then the royal physician said
"He was poisoned by the nightshade, My lord."

"The nightshade?" Dryk asked a little confused.

"it is a rare poison that causes one to sleep for days," The royal physician said and Dryk nodded.

"I will find the person that poisoned His Highness out. Do not worry my Queen" Dryk said

"I shall begin the investigation immediately after the war," he said then took a bow and left the room.

The Queen smiled in her mind knowing that no evidence could lead to her because she had destroyed everything. she had the liquid of the plant in her mouth. As the king was kissing her, some of the liquid got into his system.
Of course, she didn't want to be affected by the plant's poison so when she was fetching the wine for the king and herself, she quickly took the cure which was already inside her necklace.

"I want ten guards guarding the King's chamber at all time," she said to the guards and they saluted her

"all the guards should be stationed outside and no one is allowed in or out without my permission," she said with a straight face.

The Queen turned to the royal physician and said
"Lance, you are a good man and I trust you. please take care of my husband until he awakenings. I will send someone to bring you some food and anything you need for the King"

"You honor me, my Queen," The royal physician said with a bow.

"Take care of him," the Queen said with all seriousness and walked out of the king's chambers.

As the Queen got to her chambers, she saw Dian by the window thinking of something.

"Dian," the Queen said which brought her back to reality.

"Your Highness," she said as she stood up and bowed from the window where she was sitting.

"I heard of what happened my Queen. I would pray to the mother Celena for the King's quick recovery" Dian said
