"We were on a drive when I was like five, and kinda skidded off the road."
She looks towards the sky in the distance.
"My mom flew out the window, and my dad was crushed by a tree."
He looks at her from the corner of his eye. She didn't seem to be phased by it at all.
"Must've been hard."
"Yea, I cried like a baby for months."
She laughs, he bogs down.
What is up with this girl.
"You're confused as to why I'm so happy go lucky huh."
He tenses up.
Can she read minds?!
She leans back in her seat.
"My mom always told me that smiling will make you feel better no matter how you're feeling."
She smiles as she pokes her fingers in her dimples.
"It's been working pretty well for me."
"So does that mean you're scared or something?"
"I mean yea, why wouldn't I be?"
He raises an eyebrow.
"I accidentally walk in on some people talking... Then the next thing I know I'm being chased down like an animal."
She lifts her hair, revealing a large gash behind her ear. He pulls over to the side of the road and stops.
"(Y/N) why the fuck didn't you tell me you were injured?!"
He reaches for a bag in the back when she slaps him away.
"I'm fine okay, it stopped bleeding."
"What happened?"
