"We didn't even see anything..."
His mind goes completely blank, even forgetting how to breathe for a moment. He couldn't wrap his head around the fact that they were running away for no reason.
"W-Wait... So that means... We've been running without a purpose?"
He stumbles on his foot, falling to the ground. She nods.
"(Y/N)...! Why didn't you tell me?!"
He tries not to raise his voice, but he couldn't help it. The fact that this whole situation could have been avoided is making him feel a different way now.
"Why? If I told you what happened and you let me go do you really think the other gang would believe I didn't see anything?!"
She sits up, a renewed energy and a fierce look on her face.
"They killed (B/N), do you really think they'd let me, ME, live?!"
She was shaking, he calms down. Now he understood what was going on. He doesn't blame her for not telling him sooner, she was right. If she had said that she didn't see anything Mikey wouldn't have bothered looking after her and she'd probably be dead in less than a day. He sighs, shaking a bit himself, he didn't know what to do now. If he told Mikey then he'd have to drop her somewhere and he'd have to make compensation somehow. Not only that she'd be on her own, with no one to protect her. They were in a worse predicament now.
She scoots closer to him, laying her head on his shoulder.
"Can you promise not to tell anyone?"
She holds up her pinkie. He sighs.
"I promise."
He locks it.
