Chapter 12

After the sports festival, the school went back to its usual routine. Not long after, summer break has arrived that the volleyball club was invited to join a training camp. The members, especially Atsumu, were excited about it. However, their excitement was put to a cease when exam week was mentioned. "Those who fail even a single subject will not be able to join the training camp." 

The twin's souls were leaving their bodies at the announcement. It turns out that they both had a subject that they had trouble with. Suna filmed them as he snickered along with Kami. 

"Don't laugh! You didn't pay attention to class either!" Atsumu glared at Kami.

Her smile turned slightly stiff, but it went unnoticed by the others. "I'm sorry to break it with you, but I always get good grades."

Atsumu's eyes widened. "What do you usually get?!"

I'm going to lock you back there if you don't get first place this time!

"At least all A's," she said with a forced smirk.

You are staying in there until you learn your lesson! There would be no food or water for you either!

Kami hoped that no one noticed her weird behaviour. She sighed in relief when it appeared as no one did notice it.

"Traitor!" Atsumu yelled dramatically.

You are not even in the first place and yet you are trying to help others?!

You are supposed to step on them to get to the top!

She bit her lips before shaking her head. "I can help you with that subject."

"Really?!" Atsumu said with twinkling eyes.

"If you promise to buy my drinks for a week," she added.

She didn't want to seem suspicious that she added her second statement with a playful tone.

"A week?!" Atsumu yelled.

He seemed to be calculating how much he would be losing. However, before he could finish calculating, Osamu interfered. "Yuki, I'll buy you drinks for two weeks then, so can you teach me instead?"

Kami smiled and nodded her head instantly. "Deal!"

"I was about to accept it!" Atsumu yelled.

She shook her head. "But Osamu already offered two weeks."

"T-Then I'll also buy you drinks for two weeks!" Atsumu bargained.

She pretended to think about it before nodding with a chuckle.

Ever since that day, Kami taught the twins at her house after school. Sometimes they even slept over to study longer. From time to time, Suna joins them as well.

"Hmm? What was this again?" Kami mumbled as she went back to her notes.

Osamu must have heard that he went closer to her to see what she was studying. When he saw the topic, he explained it to her in a way that she could understand easily. 

"Thanks, Osamu!"

Osamu blushed as he nodded his head.

Atsumu snickered at the sight. "Somebody studied hard to show off!"

Osamu blushed deeper as he glared at his twin to shut up.

"Show off?" Kami asked.

"Well, he-!" Atsumu was cut off by Osamu kicking him.

Atsumu quickly got up and punch his brother. "What the fuck?!"

When they began to fight, Kami just hoped her things won't be ruined while Suna took out his phone to film them.

After the exam week was over, soon the results were out, making the twins nervous. As the both of them were hesitating to open their grades, Kami quickly checked hers. When she saw that the lowest she got was an A, she sighed in relief. She was still kind of safe at the moment. When she turned to look at the twins, they both had delighted expressions. She could tell that they passed all the subjects, meaning they can join the summer training camp.

Kita told them good job when he checked their grades during club. "No one is going to be left behind."

He then began to explain who was joining the training camp. "There would be different schools: Fukurodani, Nekoma, and Karasuno."

"Fukurodani?" Kami mumbled. "Isn't that where that owl guy goes to?"

Then it clicked to her that she accidentally raised her voice. "Karasuno?!"

"Do you know that school, Kami?" Kita asked upon her reaction.

She nodded quickly with an excited smile. "That's my previous school! I'm so excited to see them again!"

Kita smiled faintly. "It must be nice for you to see your old friends again."

"How was Karasuno for you?" The twins asked on the way back home.

Kami began to talk about them excitedly. "I was close with these two guys, Tanaka and Nishinoya. They are really energetic! Although I found them weird when we first met! But when I got to know them better, they were really nice! Through them, I decided to be the manager of the club!"

The twins were frowning as they listened to her talk about Karasuno. It was really rare to see her this excited and energetic. The jealousy began to develop larger and larger inside the twins. However, Kami did not seem to notice their state due to her excitement as she continued further.

"Through the club, I was able to meet with Suga-san, Sawamura-san, and Asahi-san! They are really nice that I relaxed around them immediately! Suga-san is like a mom while Sawamura-san is like a dad. Asahi-san looks scary, but he is the most gentle person you will ever meet! Oh, there is also Kiyoko-san! She is the manager as well. She is super pretty! I have never seen someone prettier than her! If you see her, you will say the same thing! She is a goddess!"

The twins were silent the whole way back home and they just rushed to their house as soon as they have arrived. Kami was confused at their behaviour, but just brush it off, thinking they were tired.
