Chapter 13

The twins were silent on their way to school for the first time. Kami was wondering what was going on with them. She decided to see what happens, but when the silence continued, she broke it. "What has gotten into both of you?"

"What do you mean?"

"You both are obviously upset about something. Spit it out."

Both of them shook their heads as they avoided her eyes.

Kami sighed in irritation. "Fine, be that way."

She turned back to the front and did not make single eye contact with them. Even after they arrived at school and rode the bus, she did not talk to the twins at all. She also sat beside Suna instead who looked confused since he assumed she was going to sit with Atsumu.

"Did you guys fight?" Suna asked.

"I don't know," she replied honestly. "They wouldn't speak to me, so I'm not speaking to them either."

Suna just nodded before going back to his phone.

The other volleyball club members were surprised as well by the atmosphere between the twins and Kami. They were worried, but decided not to pry, hoping they will figure things out soon.

"Bokuto-san?" Kami called out hesitantly at the familiar face when they arrived at the training camp.

Bokuto turned to look at her with a wide smile. "HEY HEY HEY! KAMI!"

She waved at him, but her eyes widened when he ran towards her at full speed. Even the guy beside him panicked at the sight. "Wait, Bokuto-san!"

Thanks to their relief, when Bokuto reached her, he just carried her swiftly and ran to the gym causing her face to be full of confusion. Kami glared at Suna who was filming what was happening instead of helping her out. She then looked around and saw the guy who was with Bokuto running at them. By the time he caught up to them, they were already in the gym with everyone's eyes on them. The guy who ran after them pulled Kami away from Bokuto's arms, allowing her to be back on her feet.

"Thank you, umm?" 

"Akaashi Keiji," he introduced himself. "I'm sorry about him. He's really energetic."

He then turned to Bokuto. "Bokuto-san, you should not randomly carry someone."

"But Akaashi! I told Kuroo I would show him the girl I told him about!"

"Kuroo?" Kami asked confused as she had no idea who he was.

Soon, a guy with black, bed hair walked towards them with a playful smirk. "Is that her?"

Bokuto nodded excitedly. "She's pretty, right?!"

Kami blushed at the sudden compliment. 

"Oya oya, what might be your name?" The bed hair guy asked.

"Shouldn't you introduce yourself first before you ask?" She replied.

He smirked at her words. "My apologies, princess~ I'm Kuroo Tetsurou, Nekoma's captain."

"Kami Yuki, second-year manager of Inarizaki," she said. "I should go back and help my team with our things."

She was about to head out of the gym until she spotted Kita and the rest entering the gym. "We are already here, Kami."

Kami apologized. "I'm sorry, Kita-san!"

"Don't worry about it. I saw Bokuto carry you over here."

"HEY HEY HEY KITA! We didn't get to go against each other in the previous Nationals!" Bokuto said.

"Maybe we will for the next upcoming one," Kita replied.

Bokuto was getting excited which caused Akaashi to sigh in tiredness.

"Akaashi-san, you have it pretty rough," Kami whispered.

"Tell me about it," he said. "Oh, and Akaashi is just fine. We are in the same grade."

She nodded with a soft smile.

Inarizaki headed to their assigned room to place their luggage inside. Since they did not have enough room for the managers, Kami had to share with them. Once they were done, they all headed back to the gym. Kami's eyes widened when she spotted familiar faces. She quickly ran to them and jumped onto Tanaka's back. "Tanaka!"

The familiar faces looked at her with wide eyes. "Kami!"

She smiled at them while Tanaka continued to carry her.

"What are you doing here?!" Nishinoya asked as he jumped up and down.

"My school is part of the training camp!"

"Inarizaki, right?" Suga asked with his smile.

She nodded and pointed in the direction where her members were standing.

They turned their heads and saw Kita along with the twins walking towards their way. Kita had his usual expression while the twins had a murderous aura.

"You must be Karasuno. I'm Kita Shinsuke, the captain."

"I'm Sawamura Daichi, captain of Karasuno."

They both shook hands.

As that was occurring, the twins, Tanaka, and Nishinoya were glaring at each other.

"What do you want?" Kami asked the twins coldly.

The twins flinched at her tone, but Osamu quickly reached his hands towards her and carried her instead. Then Atsumu stood in front of her protectively. As Kami stared at them in confusion, Tanaka and Nishinoya laughed at the sight.

"Hey, I like you! You should continue to protect Kami like that!" Tanaka said as he held his hand out. "I'm Tanaka Ryunosuke!"

Atsumu continued to glare at him but accepted the handshake. "Miya Atsumu."

"Osamu, put me down."

Osamu shook his head.

Kami pinched his cheeks hard in response. "You guys were not talking to me and now what are you doing?"

"Ow! Yuki, that hurts!" Osamu cried out when Kami let go of his cheeks.

"You deserve it! Both of you owe me some explanation later!"

They both nodded at her words like a sad puppy.

Kami then jumped down to the group and pulled the twins to Kiyoko. "Look, that's Kiyoko-san I told you about! She's really pretty, right?"

Kiyoko smiled at her words. "Kami, you're prettier than me."

Kami smiled as she hugged Kiyoko to which Kiyoko hugged back.

"You are prettier, Yuki," Osamu mumbled.

She turned to him with a bit of a blush. "What the fuck?! Are you okay?"

Atsumu had a teasing smile. "No wonder he chose you during the mission track last time!"

"Oh, shut up, Atsumu!"

They continued to bicker back and forth until they heard the coaches telling the members to warm up.
