Chapter 21

Days passed by quickly since then as just like the time during the spring tournament season, the members were focused on training for the Nationals this time. On the way to the Nationals, Atsumu was excited that he wouldn't stop talking about it. He got reprimanded by Kita countless times, but for once, that did not stop Atsumu from rambling on. Kita decided to let him be instead that everyone tried to ignore him by sleeping. 

Soon they arrived at the auditorium to see Karasuno warming up. Upon spotting them, Atsumu headed to Kageyama immediately. "I hope you guys improved since I don't want to play against a boring team."

Before Kageyama could reply, Kami gave off a murderous aura. "Atsumu? We just fuckin got here and you are already causing trouble?"

"Y-Yuki, I didn't do anything! Right, Tobio-kun?!" 

Kageyama nodded that she sighed. She then grabbed Atsumu's ears as she dragged him back to their team. After Kami brought Atsumu back, the members began to warm up for their upcoming match.

Inarizaki slowly won each of the matches as Kami cheered for them. She was smiling proudly when they won the games on the first day. Soon the second day came where they were going against Karasuno.

"This will really be interesting! The good kid disappeared!" Atsumu yelled in excitement.

Kami sighed at his energy. "Atsumu, stop wasting your energy and warm up."

Soon the whistle was blown, indicating the start of the match.

The match was more intense than Kami has expected. Karasuno was definitely not an easy opponent that they were playing the third set as well. Kami clenched her hands tightly as she was hoping for her team to win to move up to the next round. However, the ball has been dropped and the whistle was blown at the same time. Kami stared at the scoreboard in disbelief.

They have lost.

She was upset about the result, but what is done is done. The members were upset, but they moved on quickly. The twins apologized to Kita about their last decision. However, Kita smiled at them, making the twins to be shocked with Atsumu becoming teary, while Osamu had a look of determination.

On the ride back to Hyogo, Kami was seated beside Osamu while the others were snoring. They were holding hands as they leaned onto each other with a soft smile on their lips. 

"Ne, Osamu," Kami called out to him.

Osamu just hummed in reply. 

"I just wanted to say that you played well. I'm proud of you for giving your all. You shined brightly in the court," she said. "Don't tell Atsumu I said this, but you shined the most in my eyes."

Osamu chuckled as he tightened his hold on her hand before falling asleep as well.

After the Nationals, Osamu, Kami, Atsumu, and Suna were in Kami's house to hang out. When they were gathered together, they decided to play the guessing game. One person will act out the word they picked while the others will try to guess the word.

They drew lots and it was Suna who will be acting out the word. Suna picked a word from the box. Once he read what was written on the paper, he pointed at Atsumu immediately. 

Both Kami and Osamu stood up as they yelled whatever passed through their mind.

"TRASH!"

"BASTARD!"

"PLAYER!"

"STUPID!"

"SPOILED!"

"DUMBASS!"

Suna laughed as he shook his head at their answers while Atsumu gave them a look. "WHAT THE FUCK?!"

Osamu and Kami did not pay attention to Atsumu and continued to throw out different words, causing Atsumu to yell. "WHY IS IT ALL BAD ONES?! BOTH OF YOU ARE BASICALLY TALKING SHIT ABOUT ME!"

"But Suna pointed at you!" Kami reasoned out.

"IT COULD HAVE BEEN SOMETHING NORMAL!"

As they began to argue, the time was up. Suna laughed before telling the answer. "The word was 'setter'."

There was a moment of silence.

"Oh yeah, he is a setter," Kami nodded in realization.

"I totally forgot about that one," Osamu commented as well.

Atsumu looked like he was about to stab the both of them, however, they ignored him and drew lots again. Since Atsumu got chosen this time, he stood in front of them and began to act out the word after he read the paper. By his gestures, Kami could tell it was cooking, but she felt playful that she decided to tease him. 

"Being stupid...?"

"Oh wait! Cleaning!"

Kami continued to throw the wrong answers that Suna and Osamu got the message and joined her right away. Atsumu began to get pissed at their act. "ALL OF YOU! I SWEAR I'M GOING TO SPIKE TO YOUR HEADS!"

They all gave him an innocent look. "But we were just trying to guess..."

There was a tick mark on Atsumu's forehead. "THAT'S OBVIOUSLY A LIE!"

That was when all of them burst out laughing to the point they were crying while Atsumu yelled in irritation.
