Levi gave a one-word answer, too tired to give a shit about their lovey-dovey crap. He was staring at a picture. Hanji and Levi took it together in the year 852 when cameras were available. Hanji was smiling while Levi had a bored and a " Seriously-four-eyes-get-away-and-let-me-drink-my-tea-in-peace" kind of face. Come to think of it, the photograph was quite funny. He sat in his wheelchair, drifting off to sleep.
Levi knew he was in a dream, obviously because his face had no scars and he could walk. He was also in the old scout uniform. Hanji was sitting on the walls with him, looking towards the horizon, the wind blowing her brown, messy hair to the side. she was in her scout uniform too. Just like the old days. When there were walls.
He clenched his fists, overcome with a lot of emotions. Levi had so much to say to that four-eyed bitch. "Did You Think You Died A Cool Death!? I Don't Think So! Forget the 'Dedicate Your Heart' bullshit, you could have survived Hanji! As much as I hate to admit, no matter how disgusting or crazy of an abnormal you are, we had a bond! We have known each other for 10 years. So why did you leave me then? You were really so important to me..." Levi trailed off and sought comfort in Hanji's arms as she gave him a hug.
"Shorty, If I left you, why am I here? Never mind that, I paid you a visit today!! Guess what? The entire survey corps was there to greet me! We are having so much fun! Can't wait for you to meet all of us again. I also missed you, Levi." Hanji had her cheerful tone. Levi missed that. She smiled warmly at the last sentence. Both of them just stared into the setting sun, with Hanji usually telling Levi about Moblit, Titans, More titans, the next expeditions while Levi drank tea on their off days. He actually smiled. It just seemed so calm and all. His heart felt so at ease.
"You know, I would never expect a good dream that has you in it."
"HEY!!"
In the dream, Levi was drinking his favourite tea when Hanji stood up. "Whoops, time for me to leave. Erwin wants to discuss something with me if you know what I mean." Hanji winked. Levi immediately stretched his hand out. The dream was about to end. "Hanji, please, stay." But just like that, Levi woke up again, a single tear rolling down his cheek across the 3 scars. He heard an enthusiastic Gabi from the front door, loudly shouting, " Look, Falco, I wanna look as cool as I possibly can right now, so just let me go, will you?" Levi's eyes widened. He had no idea what they were talking about, but he just knows Hanji is playing tricks on him.
