Izuku was born to Inko Midorya in a hospital in Musutafu, Japan, father unknown. He grew up with his mother in a small apartment beside a previously very beautiful beach, now littered with trash. As he grew up, he befriended the explosive boy Katsuki Bakugo, who was nicknamed "Kaachan."
At the age of 4, he was declared quirkless, much to the young child's dismay. Inko was surprisingly not upset, her only son being quirkless and all. That was because deep down she knew, because of her lover's secret, that her
son would one day be a great hero.
Bakugo began bullying Izuku, firing small explosions in his face. These explosions seemed to have no effect on Izuku, the only thing showing it ever happens being a small smudge of ash.
This infuriated the boy, as some of the explosions should have harmed Izuku way more. Izuku being Izuku took his fire resistance as a quirk, ignoring the blatant facts before him saying it isn't. With a lok of exitement that a 4 year old could only muster, he ran to his mother and told her. Inko considered telling Izuku about his dad that day, but decided that 6 was too young to be introduced to such a vast world.
