4 months later.
Izuku can be seen at his desk copying notes from several textbooks. 'Izuku honey, lunch' he sat up and stretched. 'coming mom' he called closing the numerous books around him.
'you not studying too hard are you honey?' asked Inko as he walked into the large open room 'no mom I'm not' he chuckled. 'besides after lunch I have my lesson remember? Hoshi wants to meet me at the beach, something about temperature control?' he said, sitting down and grabbing the pair of chopsticks next to his bowl of ramen. 'ok Izuku just making sure' Inko said with a giggle. 'well I'm off to work, they have a shoot planned across town near UA' Izuku looked up at his mom as she made her way out of the door, slinging her coat over her shoulder. 'good luck mom!' he called after her.
2 hours later
Izuku stood at the entrance to the very crowded beach, the piles of trash easily towering over him. he heard Hoshi walk up behind him. 'a shame isn't it, that such a beautiful beach could be ruined by lazy people who don't want to pay to have their appliances disposed of' Izuku nodded with a grimace. he'd personally thought of cleaning the beach himself as a sort of strength training but ultimately decided against it after the whole awakening situation deciding it was more important to use his training time to get a hold of his new powers rather than build strength.
'so what are we doing today?' Izuku turned to face Hoshi for the first time that afternoon. 'we are going to work on your temperature control' Izuku nodded, despite not fully understanding what Hoshi was implying. Hoshi immediately picked up on this and began explaining as he began leading Izuku down a narrow path he spotted.
'as a pyronite you have a natural control of fire and in some rare cases magma. this also comes with a control of the temperature of said fire and magma.' Izukus eyes went wide as his thoughts fell into place. 'oooh. that makes a lot of sense actually' Hoshi smiled. 'does that also include the temperature of my body? I'm getting a little fed up of leaving footprints behind wherever I go...' he said, ending the sentence in a mutter. Hoshi nodded. 'yes it does.'
once they emerged in a sort of clearing amongst the garbage, Hoshi transformed, a small circle of glass forming at his feet. he looked down. ' this is what can happen if your careless with your temperature when transforming. as you may know, sand needs to melt to temperatures of about 1700 degrees Celsius (3090°F for my American readers) to become glass. our bodies can quite easily exceed that, especially when transforming.' Izuku nodded. 'now should you follow your dream to be a hero, you will need to gain control of your core temperature when you transform and are in your pyronite form. in the likely event of a rescue situation it would be catastrophic for you to harm those you are attempting to save.' Izuku grimaced, immidiatly understanding the importance of this lesson. He also knew he needed to get a grasp of his abilities soon, understanding the need total control of every aspect of his pyronite form constantly. 'ill do anything to learn hoshi sensei' he bowed low, ready for whatever hoshi decided to ask of him.
hoshi chuckled. 'no need for the formalities izuku, now shall we start with you transforming?'
several hours later
izuku could be seen panting, crouched down attempting to catch his breath. hoshi smiled. 'good to see you've been practicing your reaction speed' he said with a chuckle as he launched a fireball at izuku. izukus eyes went wide as he stood up, transformed in an instat and lauched the fireball back. 'ah- glass' izuku turned back and looked down, spotting the ring of glass around him and sighed. 'damn it'hoshi smiled. 'your getting better ofr something we only started covering this morning.' he looked up at the shifting sky. 'you should go home, its getting late' izuku looked up as well, spotting the orange and pink hues in the sky and nodded. 'yea i probably should.' he turned hoshi. 'thank you' he bowed. 'when would you like me to meet you next?' hoshi paused for a minute. 'i want you to study for the next week, and ONLY on the weekend will you work on your temperature control. remember your aiming for general studies in UA, not in some small high school.' izuku nodded 'yes sensei' hoshi chuckled. 'now go on, get home' izuku nodded and ran off 'see you in a week!' he calles out behind him as he waved.
