It was time, time for the war

It was time, time for the war. You and Edmund walk side by side, his only solace being the grip of your hand, hoping that the two of you would end up alive at the end of it. Edmund kisses the top of your head, this could either go two ways, the last moment between the two of you, or only the beginning of the journey that you both were on.

"I love you, Ed," you say, tears brushing your eyes.

"I love you too, Harley," Edmund smiles.

Then, the fighting started. Swords clashed as you tried to stay as close to Edmund and Peter as much as possible, that plan failed. You were faced with a soldier, two swords in hand, you tried calling for help as he slowly broke down your walls, your arms getting weaker and weaker. Luckily, you managed to knock his swords out of his hand, stabbing his stomach. By the time you had managed to gather yourself, you were attacked again. This time, a man jumped on your back, throwing you to the floor, he held his sword to your neck, as if he was waiting for one of the Pevensies to notice and watch you die.

You thought it was over for you, until someone came up behind the man and stabbed him through the back of the head, blood landing on my dress. I look up to see who saved me, it wasn't who i thought it was. It was Caspian.

"Thanks."

"No problem," he replied, swinging his sword round to fight another soldier.

Finally having the balls to make a move on someone, you head for Edmund who seems to be struggling. The two men that were fighting seemed to be slightly more overpowering than Edmund, you were sure you could help. Walking up to one of the men, sword avec in an upright position, you thrust your sword into his throat.

"That's for messing with my boyfriend, asshole," you grimace, the man falling to the floor as Edmund then manages to kill the other soldier.

"Are you okay?" Edmund asks, grabbing your soldiers.

You smile up at him a little, "Yes, I'm fine, thought you could need some help."

He nods a little, picking up his sword, kissing your head and going back to battle. After you had that conversation  with Edmund you immediately had more courage.

-Time Skip-

It was now the end of the battle as you walked around, trying to find Edmund and the other.

"Edmund!" You yelled.

"Harley!" He shouts from behind you.

You spin around and run to him using the little energy you had left, embracing him in your arms, not wanting to let go.

Just as you though everything was fine, you felt a sharp pain in your lower abdomen, looking down to see a sword piercing you through the centre from behind. The sword is yanked out of you, Edmund's yells filling your ears as a blurred image of the soldier falling to the floor is displayed to you.

Edmund's POV:

I saw Harley fall to the floor as the sword was pulled out of her. I let out a yell of horror as I went mental on the already injured soldier, almost throwing my sword at him, stabbing him right in the heart.

I collapse next to my girlfriend, holding her face as she just managed to keep her eyes open.

"Baby, please, please don't leave me, we'll get Lucy to heal you," I sob. "Lucy! Lucy!"

My brother and two sisters run over with Aslan trailing behind them, seeming to be in conversation with Caspian. That was until he realised what was wrong, his face dropping.

"What happened!?" Caspian yells, me shushing him.

"Ed," Harley whispers. "Don't. Just let me go."

"No, you're staying with me," I cry, snatching Lucy's liquid off her.

I tip a drop in, maybe two, nothing happens, Harley just closing her eyes. I grab her face, pressing my forehead against hers.

"Please, please don't leave me, please, I love you, Harley, please."

"I love you too," she croaks, her breath getting slower and slower, until nothing is left.

Her mouth is slightly open, her eyes closed, her skin pale and losing it's colour, the blush in her cheeks disappearing as she turns cold. I let out a scream of pain, not the physical pain, I bury my head in the crook of her neck, letting the tears fall as the others sit around her. I keep one hand on her now cold face as the other goes to hold her hand, wrapping my fingers around hers.

I cry and cry until i finally manage to pull away from her, my princess, my world, my reason for life, gone. I had nothing. I was nothing. Nothing without her.
