It was a normal day in Narnia for Alicia Lockhart, she was one of the only humans living in Narnia, apart from the Kings and Queens, she adored them, she was there for the coronation hundreds of years ago, she remembered dancing with King Edmund the Just. As you may have noticed, Alicia was different than the other humans, she had eternal youth, meaning that while she was in Narnia, she wouldn't age, staying sixteen was fun, but tiring.
She was trailing around the forests, admiring the blooming flowers, getting ready to sit and read her favourite book, when her eyes caught a glimmering object in the ferns. She wandered over, looking around to see if anyone was watching her, and picked it up, it was heavier than her sword, that's a definite fact, she thought nothing of the fact and carried it to her spot at the bottom of the tallest tree she could find. If someone came out looking for it, she could always give it to them.
Around twenty minutes later, she had finished one of the chapters and was distracted by a distant voice.
"I could've sworn it was on my saddle, Phillip," a male voice echoed from down the path.
Alicia peeked her head around to find King Edmund on his horse scanning the forest.
"It's your sword, you should know where it is at all times," the horse, Phillip replied.
She places the book down, picking up the boy's sword and stepping out onto the path.
"This yours?" She shouts, holding the sword up in the air a little.
Edmund gallops towards her, stopping next to her small figure, a small satisfied grin on his face. "Yes, thank you. I recognise you from somewhere."
"Oh, I was at your coronation, King Edmund," she explains.
He chuckles, "You don't need to call me that, just Ed."
She nods, blushing a little, handing him his sword.
"Maybe, I could join you?" He suggests.
"What about your horse?" Alicia chuckles.
"He can go back," Edmund responds, Phillip sighing and galloping off.
"Now, how are you going to get back?" Alicia laughs.
"Didn't think about that," He sighs, me chuckling at him.
Who knew that Edmund was such a heartthrob, the whole time that the two were talking, they formed something, a friendship, a bond. King Edmund... may she be your Queen?
