~Chapter 19:Motives~

Derek follows beside Megatron and Dreadwing as they walk towards the omega keys.

"Few things of value come without a price,so tell me Starscream, what is it that you wish in return." Megatron questions

"Only to be a Decepticon once again" Starscream bowed down

"DreadWing is my first lieutenant now" Megatron guestured

"And I accept that much has changed during my absence, I only wish you, my one true master, In any way you deem fit." Starscream finished

"I am deeply impressed by your accomplishment Starscream, and know that I'll put your offerings to good use, whatever the outcome" Megatron exclaimed

Starscream looked up "Outcome of what?"

Derek glanced at Lord Megatron

"See that Knockout and Breakdown are ready!" Megatron commanded Dreadwing

Derek sat at one of the high desks in the Medbay, watching Knockout stretching while Breakdown watched.

"Ahhh, it's good to be back...." Knockout exclaimed

"With Tanya's help....." Derek thought

Derek sees Knockout bring a tube-like device towards Megatron's platform and hook it up.

"Now,what will we be fishing for today my leigh" Knockout questioned

Megatron opened his eyes, turning towards Starscream.

"StarScream's true motives"

Derek glanced at StarScream, seeing him look shocked at Lord Megatron.

"Hmm, this is making me curious...." Derek smirked

Derek watched as Knockout hooked up Starscream, and the screen behind Derek turn on.

      Derek turned around, watching what was happening in Starscream's mind.
The scene was in the computer room on the nemesis, Derek watched as he thinks, mind Starscream looking towards the front, with the many vidicons behind him.

"Deception's it is with deep sorrow, that I now note for the log, Megatron's spark has been extinguished." Starscream exclaimed

"All hail....Starscream"

Derek sees Megatron appeared at the scene.

"Well,well, you certainly didn't waste any time" Megatron exclaims

Starscream looks flabbergasted

"What! I just watched you perish!" Starscream exclaimed

Megatron sighed "I did not perish then, and I'm very much with you now....the present you, as well as the past!"

     Starscream glanced down, then heard the vidicons yell his name behind him. Turning around to see his past self taking all the praise from the vidicons.

Outside the simulation, Derek deadpanned at the scene

"This is something I could see the boss do." Derek thought, glancing over to Breakdown and Knockout

"This is going to be juicy...." Derek sees Knockout smirk

Derek rolled his eyes and looked at the screen again.

Starscream looked embarrassed

"Hehe, your inside my head aren't you" Starscream questioned, turning towards Megatron.

Megatron took a step forward "The cortical psychic patch! You see that there are no secrets here, only your memories." Megatron gestures

"You cannot manipulate their contents or modify their outcome, what we see is how it happened!" Megatron exclaimed as the screen flashed to a new scene.

      Derek watched through StarScreams memories, even ones that remembers such as the ShadowZone, Mech, and the cave.

Derek closed his eyes "I remember those memories, oh such memories."

     Derek snapped his eyes open, hearing rapid clicking on the keys of the keyboard. Derek glanced over, seeing Knockout typing on the keys trying to what he says, fast-forwarding it.

"I wonder what's this about" Derek thought, looking at the screen and seeing what was the cause.

"Oh that's what" Derek thought.

"Uh Knockout...." Derek said but didn't see him.

"Knockout?" Derek questioned, looking around and seeing Knockout trying to pull the cord from Megatron's.

"Knockout!" Derek yelled at him as saw Dreadwing stop him.

"Everything okay here?" Dreadwing questioned

Derek breathed in relief "Thank you Dreadwing...where did he come from?" Derek questioned

Just then, Derek could hear Megatron talk again. Derek looked over, seeing the scene on what they said Skyquakes death.

Derek had no thoughts, not knowing what it is to have a sibling dead before....but

"That must be hard on him....knowing how his brother was killed."

"Awkward...." Knockout said

Derek nodded, watching the scene once again.

"But....does this mean-" StarScream started

"Yes.....I will allow you to return to our ranks, if only because you are more valuable beside me then against me." Megatron explained.

Derek sighed, closing his eyes

"That means each and everyone of you Knockout and Derek!"

Derek had a tiny chill up his spine.

"Augh....Megatron sure knows how to patch things up ay Dreadwing and Derek" Knockout said

Derek nodded, turning around to not see Dreadwing.

"Dreadwing?" Derek and Knockout Questioned

"I might have to keep an eye on Dreadwing, after that scene showed up" Derek thought to himself

"Wait....Does Megatron suspect something about me?" Derek thought with wide eyes.
