A sigh of relief passed over everyone who had witnessed the monster die. They had defeated it now all they needed to do was get the amulet and get out. However, when they turned to retrieve it the amulet was gone and Dean saw Sam running out with it.

"Sam!" Dean called out running after him and stopped him leaving with the amulet. "Can't let you leave with that," he continued.

"Get away from me I don't need you anymore," Sam said to him. The words hurt Dean more than any injury could receive but he knew it wasn't Sam talking.

"Don't listen to him, Dean, that's Eris talking," Annabeth said as she and Percy caught up with the two of them.

"Sammy, listen to me, Eris has done something to you snap out of it, this isn't you!" Dean screamed at him trying to get through to Sam.

"Isn't it? I feel more like myself then I ever have," Sam responded with a smile. "She asked me to give you a message Dean, she said if you don't stop this Hera will kill me," he laughed after saying that. Dean was horrified because how could he laugh about something like that.

"I won't let her," Dean declared. He would protect Sam from Hera even if he died trying.

"Then you will be forced to kill me!" Sam yelled using his powers to summon a sword and he would cut Dean's throat, if he had managed to block Sam's attack with his own sword.

"We have to help them," Percy said, wanting to intervene.

"No it's their fight, the conflict will never end if we jump in," Annabeth said to him even though she wanted to help as well.

"Sam, give me the amulet," Dean said, holding out his empty hand. "I won't fight my brother,"

"Then you will die," Sam responded in his coldest voice. Sam and Dean ended up fighting against each other; both were equally matched because of who their parents were. Sam used everything he knew about battle strategy to fight back against Dean. Dean on the other hand had been trying his best not to hurt his brother. He kicked Sam in the chest, sending him against the wall. Before Sam could react Dean pinned him against the wall and looked him dead in the eyes.

"Sam this is not you, your stronger than Eris after everything we've been through you can't let her win," Dean said "your my brother and I will die for you in order to save you,"

"I can't, she's in my head..." Sam began seeming like he was fighting against Eris. But the corruption quickly returned. "No you were going to choose your father over me,"

"Is that what she wants you to believe?" Dean asked. "She's lying to you Sam, just like Hera lied to me,"

"Please stop this," Sam said, trying to cover his ears.

"I won't screw our parents and their rivalry, my job is to protect you and I'm never going to stop," Dean said to him. "You asked me to never change and I promised you I wouldn't, I need you to do the same," he continued. "Please Sammy I need my little brother," upon hearing what Dean had said, he forced himself to look at his brother. Everything that Eris had put in his head was starting to fade away. It was true what they said that family is everything and the love of a brother was stronger than any sort of hatred. Sam gasped as the power that Eris had over him had been gone. Percy and Annabeth had watched the entire thing and while he was the son of Poseidon, Percy had a hard time keeping the tears from coming down.

"Sammy?" Dean said.

"Dean? What happened?" Sam questioned his brother.

"It doesn't matter," Dean responded and gave his brother a hug. "Your back that's all that counts,"
