5 days later

Callie and River had gotten up early to do some shopping. Callie wanted to get some groceries and some feminine hygiene products. Normally she would leave her daughter with a sitter because River was a rather wild child in the store. But Mark and Lexie were at a conference in New York and she has not had time to procure a regular sitter. So she dressed the youngster and headed to walmart. The one shop stop. She had stopped at the little cafe in the store to get herself a caffentied pick me up, and a muffin for her little mini me. She was hoping that if she gave her a snack she would sit in the cart and be calm while she shopped. Unlike most trips that usually ended in chasing, hide n seek and many extras being tossed into the cart.

"Ok mija lets let's set in the cart and eat your muffin, I even got your favorite chocolate chip."

"No mommy, I want to walk and eat" River protested.

"Please baby, I need you to be good for mommy. If you be good i'll buy you a surprise."

"I'll be good but please let me walk."

"Fine ok you can walk but best behavior  please"

They headed to the back of the store for some house supplies. Callie needed a few essentials, like toilet paper, tampons, more toothpaste and shampoo. She was comparing prices when she heard her daughter yell the name of her teacher and running of running down The aisle.

"Hey River!" Arizona greeted the over excited girl.

"Ah hi mrs.Robbins." Callie was extremely embarrassed at what section arizona stumbled upon her,

"Please call me arizona."

I, uh, ok, arizona"

"I just need these." Arizona reached over and grabbed a box.

"Me to" callie grabbed the box not looking at arizona.

"Come on sweety say goodbye were gonna head to the food section after i grab shampoo"

"You come mrs. Robbins?" River asked hopefully.

"I actually need a few groceries myself so yes, i will join you both"

River reached up and grabbed Arizona's hand as they walked to the shampoo aisle. Callie just shrugged and smiled, and thought to herself maybe it wouldn't be confusing if she asked out her teacher. Though part of her still thought it would be better to wait till River finished the school year. There was no real rule about it, it was just looked down on. And Callie didn't want to be that parent. 8 The walk to the grocery isles was quiet at first but then Arizona started talking.

"So callie, what brings you to walmart?"

"Oh I just needed some stuff for me in River. Mark provides most of the Necessities but our room has our own bathroom, so I provide the toiletries and a few of her favorite snacks."

"Sounds like you have a sweet setup!

"It's only temporary till i can save up enough for a deposit on a house, the divorce took most of my savings."

"You were married?" The shock was evident on the blonde's face.

"Ah yah to Rivers father, Devon"

Arizona was disappointed to hear that Callie was previously married to a man. But she still had her hopes up. Maybe she was bisexual. Maybe her parents were old fashioned and she was in the closet. There was no denying the flirting that had been happening between them the rest of the last week.

"Oh, how long have you been divorced?"

"Officially about 3 months, but started the process about a year ago. He contested everything. But I ended up winning full custody and the car. He got the apartment."

"Sounds stressful callie"

"It was but it was for the better, i want a better life for River."

"Were you together long?"

"About 8 years." The conversation was starting to make callie a little uncomfortable.

"What about you arizona? Ever been married?"

"Ive dated a few girls but nothing too serious."

Callie was happy to hear that. It made this awkward conversation a little less about her and gave her a little glimpse into their shopping mates life. She was growing even fonder of the blue eyed girl by the second. She was definitely wearing a cheeky smile that Arizona took note of. They chatted some more and walked about just aimlessly as they chatted. Arizona told Callie about how she picked this town. Callie laughed pretty hard but thought it was a neat way to make such a huge life choice.  After walking to the car they stalled and talked for a few minutes longer

"Bye calliope"

Callie leaned in and with a very sultry voice husked in Arizona's ear.

"I've dated a few girls too"

Callie leaned back up, smiled and walked away toting Rivers who had acted surprisingly well. Arizona just watched as Callies strutted away. Stunned and a little excited. Shocked was probably the best way to describe Arizona at this moment.

Later that night Arizona was curled up on her couch watching a lifetime movie. Her mind was only half watching as she mostly thought about the hot Latino woman who whispered in her year today. She had never been so turned on in her life.

She had so much fun today. With both Callie and River. She didn't want to think about it but she could see them being a family. The hole thing, Nice house on a cul de sac, a brother for River. And maybe a dog or a chicken. She never really pictured herself settling down and getting married and never even considered kids. But it all just felt right with callie. Her name just rolled off her tongue and they way she lit up a room was beyond anyone she's ever met before. Something that felt this good couldn't be wrong. But she was Rivers' teacher. What would the other parents think? Arizona didn't know what to do.
