Callie anxiously spent the day cleaning and busying herself about. She couldn't wait to spend time with the teacher and her young daughter. She knew that River liked having her as her teacher, but would she enjoy having her outside of the classroom? Callie didn't want to do anything that would upset the girl. But she also wanted to live her life. Arizona made her smile for the first time in awhile. Her marriage went downhill super fast. and she had only been with one other person. That person, Elizabeth, made her happy but her parents never approved. But they were out of her life now, she did miss them tremendously. She wanted River to meet and have a relationship with her parents like she did with her abuelos. They used to take her fishing on their boat, and to the soccer games and on Sundays they had game nights. Just her and her sister and them.
Callie looked up and saw that it was already time to pick up River and head to the park. This was also the first time she got to take her young tyke to the park since they got her. River would be so excited, out of everything there was at a playground she loved the swings the most. Back home she would swing for hours. River didnt know that they were going, inless Arizona told her but she doubted that she would.

The day had gone by fast for Arizona. It was already pick up time. Thankfully all the kids were good and cleaning their stations. They had all around been good kids today. She had a genuinely good group of kids in her class. She was just walking around supervising the kids when River ran up to her with a piece of paper.
"Look, I drew this for you ms.Robbins" the little latina said.
Arizona gently took the artwork from the little girl. It was a picture of her and River holding hands with a giant purple star on it. She had wanted to right, my favorite teacher, but she didn't know how to spell or wanted to ask and ruin the surprise for her teacher.
"I love it sweetie thank you!" the teacher exclaimed.
"yay!'' The small raven haired child wrapped her arms around the teacher's legs.
"I'm gonna hang this on the wall of art. Would you like to help?" Arizona asked Rivers.
"Yes please!"
They walked to the back of the classroom to hang the picture. Neither one of them realized that Callie had walked into the room. and had witnessed the whole scene. It made her heart grow to know that Arizona was so good with her daughter. especially when she wasn't around to see.
" Hey munchkin, ms.Robbins." Callie said, the last part with a husk in her tone.
"Ah calliope, you're here."
"Momma!" The little tyke was in a great mood and so happy to see her mom. She quickly wrapped her arms around her legs like she had Arizona. Arizona wishes she could embrace Callie too. But she just smiled.
The class had pretty much emptied out like most of the days she picked River up, she was almost always last. But she got out at 3pm and school ended at 2:45. Arizona never minded because it gave her a minute alone with them.
Arizona looked around the classroom to make sure the last student had left before she spoke.
"Are we ready to go?" She asked quietly.
"Go where?" River asked,
Arizona looked down at the child and then up to Callie who just shook her head yes.
"To the park." Arizona said nonchalantly.
River started jumping up and down.
"i can't wait to go! I haven't been since we moved!" The little girl exclaimed.
