Wilbur yelped, clinging onto Quackity tightly. He took a deep breath, calming down as much as he could. "Uh.... That way." He said, pointing in the direction of a fairly poor part of the city that had a forest behind it.

Quackity grinned, nodding before beginning to fly towards where Wilbur had pointed. As soon as they were out of the castle’s gates, he glided down, landing on the ground before putting Wilbur down. He took Wil by the hand, walking into the city with a soft smile on his face. “Welcome to the world outside the castle.”

Wilbur gasped softly, looking around with wonder and intrigue shining in his gaze. "It's.......... Noisy." He said, not exactly sure how to describe it. It was so strange to him, nothing like he'd ever really seen before. It was all so.... Disorganized? Chaotic? And yet peaceful. It was strange. He didn't understand it, nor did he understand the spiteful looks many of the people who were still awake and outside were giving him. Wilbur inhaled sharply, shuffling closer to Quackity. He felt unsafe here. At least he wasn't wearing his crown, though his clothes were still clean enough and fancy enough for him to be easily spotted as a noble and as royalty.

Quackity seemed to be gracefully welcomed in the city, getting kind hellos and soft gazes. He grinned, pulling Wilbur over to a custard stand. He pulled out a few silver coins, sliding them onto the counter and taking two vanilla custards, saying a quick “Thank you!” to the owner of the stand before bringing Wilbur over to a small table, sliding down onto the bench. He sat Wilbur down next to him, sliding one of the custards over to Wil. “These ones from the city are completely different from in the castle, they’re probably the best I’ve had; just the right amount of sweetness, with a hint of zest to spice it up.” He grinned, taking two spoons out his pocket that he conveniently had on him, giving one to Wilbur before taking his own and beginning to eat the vanilla custard. He stopped after a few bites, leaning his arms on the table, looking over to Wilbur, keeping his voice low. “I know, it’s not as nice as the castle, but it’s definitely better to live it. There’s new sales every day, it’s like Christmas but you have to spend money on the gifts! It’s all pretty cheap though, the most expensive thing I’ve seen in my life is probably a dress for two gold pieces. Pretty cheap if you ask me.”

"That is pretty cheap." Wilbur said after a long while of silence. He was looking around at everything he could, both astounded and a bit anxious. He finally blinked and looked down at the custard, taking a few bites from it. Wilbur stopped, as if processing what he was tasting. He took another bite, wrinkling his nose as if he was disgusted. It tasted strange. It had the texture of icecream, maybe a bit thicker. And it tasted like it was basically nothing, just cold. A bit of spiciness in there? Wilbur couldn't tell, it was weird. "........... I forgot I can't taste anything-" He said, blinking. "Sorry Quackity, I don't like it. It just tastes like spicy nothing." He said, running his fingers through his hair to disperse some of the white into the brown and make it a bit harder for anyone to recognize him.

Quackity laughed softly, shaking his head. “Don’t be sorry, it’s good to try out new things so you know if you like it or not.” He took Wilbur’s small snack, sliding it over to himself as if to have it for his own. Which, in fact, was the truth. He quickly finished both the custards, standing up and jogging over, throwing the empty cups and spoons away before walking back over to the table him and Wilbur sat at. “So, what would you like to do? The city’s much more lively at night, we have hours to kill and I don’t just want to spend it sitting at a table. There’s shopping, there’s— my personal favorite —gambling, there’s the bar, there’s a lot of stuff, really. Anything you can think of, we have it in the city. Everyone’s welcomed here, except… well, royalty. Townsfolk keep the old rumors lingering around. I’m sure you don’t want to know them, but you’ll find it eventually.” He seemed to talk to Wilbur as if the other wasn’t a prince and just a new person who moved in recently, his tone casual and his posture relaxed.
