Side By Side (Lokius)

The nexus event

Me and Sylvie walked to the edge of town. Hearing people screaming, crying, explosions. I sit next to her.

"I'm sorry." I say

"I remember Asgard. Not a lot, but I remember. My home, my people, my friends, the skies, the water. My life. The universe wants to break free, so it manifests chaos. Like me being born the Goddess of Mischief. As soon as that created a big detour from the Sacred timeline, the TVA showed up, erased my life, and took me prisoner. I was just a kid. I escaped. Stole a Tempad and I ran for a very long time which sucked. Everywhere I went I would cause a nexus event. Because I'm not supposed to exist. But eventually I figured out where to hide, so that's where I grew up. The ends of a thousand worlds. Now that's where I'll die. " she says

I feel bad for her.

"Not long now." She says as the moon is about to be completely destroyed.

"Do you think that what makes a Loki a Loki is the fact that we're destined to lose?" She asks

"No. We may lose. Sometimes painfully. But we don't die. We survive. I mean you did. You were just a kid when the TVA took you and you nearly burned it all to hell. You did that. You're amazing!" I say.

But I lied. Yes we don't die and we survive but what if I'm truly not supposed too. I mean I died before and I saw it. And now I'm gonna die and I won't survive. And as the moon collapses, I accept it.

I accept that it is my destiny to die. Accept that I'm destined to be alone. Accept that nothing I do can ever change the course of my life.

This is it. It's happening.

As I'm about to die a Time door opens. The TVA.

The guards take us inside and they take Sylvie away. I'm however going with Mobius and he is pissed.

"Well?" Say Mobius

"Well what?" I ask

"Do you have anything to say?" Asks Mobius

"Ive got nothing to say to you." I say. I lied of course. I want to tell him everything. The truth.

"By the way, I should have an equal amount of security. This is insulting!" I say

"You just can't help yourself." He says

"You betrayed me!" I say

"You betrayed me! And I know that you'll never feel sorry." Says Mobius

"Oh grow up!" I say

"You grow up." He says

As we are walking inside his office he says "You know, it occurred to me that you're not really the God of Mischief."

"Oh really, So what am I? The God of Self-Sabotage, huh or the God of Back-Stabbing?" I ask

"More like an asshole and a bad friend. " he says.

Ouch.

"Yeah, chew on that for a little bit. All right it's ready," he says

A time door opens but it's red.

"What is this? Mobius!" I yell

"Okay wait. No no let him. One last desperate trick from the desperate trickster, go ahead." He says

This is my moment. I have to tell him the truth.

"The TVA is lying to you. " I say worried.

"Put him in." He says

"No!" I say as they push me inside.

What the hell. I'm on Asgard?

"Seriously?" I say laughing.
