The Variant

* 1985 * Oshkosh , Wisconsin

"Variant detected commander." Says Minuteman .

"Let's move. " says commander Hunter C-20.

" No nexus energy yet ma'am" says Minuteman.

* I need a hero by Bonnie Tyler starts playing *

"It's a trap. Watch your backs " says Hunter C-20

Hunter C-20 then gets enchanted by the Variant and starts attacking and killing the Minutemen. After she is done, the Variant then opens a Time door and kidnaps Hunter C-20.

* TVA *

So me and Mobius came into an agreement that I would help find this Variant of myself and so far Miss Minutes has been catching me up to all the stupid things I need to know about this place.

" Okay Loki, let's review what we've learned. What happens when a nexus event branches past the red line? " Miss Minutes asks as im reading Mobius's jetski magazine in his desk.

" Um very bad things." I say.

" Come on Loki what is it?" she asks.

I sight "Its when the TVA can no longer reset a nexus event. Boring . " I say.

" Right and that would lead to the destruction of the timeline and reality as we know it." She says

I really start to wonder how is it that one tiny clock can have so much information and be so smart.

" Are you a recording or are you alive?" I ask

"I'm sort of both" she says

I then proceed to hit her.

" Hey watch it! Where's your manners?" She says

I smile like really this clock can really hear me and understand me.

" Training going well? Wait is that my jet ski magazine. Put it down and gear up. There's been an attack. Let's go. "says Mobius as he gives me a jacket.

" Oh, a jacket how lovely,  thanks. " I say as I'm following him.

" Put it on" he says

" You like it , I think it fits me great. " I say.

" I love it. You look great, smart, really hands-
really handy. " he says.

" C-20 and her team went dark shortly after they jumped into a 1985 branch. All signs point to another ambush. We grabbed enough temporal aura to know it's our Loki variant. But which kind of Loki remains unknown. " says Hunter B-15 .

" Obviously the lesser kind to be clear." I say.

" Let me see the back of that jacket?"asks Hunter B-15.

I turn around and Hunter B-15 says "Variant."

" Very subtle. Well done. Thanks Mobius." I say.

" I don't want anybody out there to forget what you are. "says Hunter B-15.

" Okay everyone, when we get out on the branch we're not just looking for a time criminal. We're looking for a Loki. A version of this guy right here. A type we should all be familiar with because the TVA has pruned a lot of these guys more often than any other Variant. Slight differences in appearances and different powers although their powers mostly include shape shifting, illusion projection and my favorite duplication casting. So we're gonna break into two teams including myself and Professor Loki." Says Mobius

" Professor Loki, I like that" I say smirking at him.

As we start walking getting ready I ask him " Do I get a weapon? "
