Chapter 11: Cards

AT ASAN MEDICAL CENTER

A tall doctor with a clean look enters the SVIP Suite room of the Sleeping Beauty patient. He signaled the mute caretaker that he wants to be alone with the woman. The mute ahjumma caretaker left the room. The room is secured with a lot of CCTV and security outside. Only authorized personnel can come inside. The room is especially built for the patient. The bed is in the middle of the room with lights below it, all needed medicines and equipment are inside as well.

The doctor sat on the chair beside the hospital bed and fixed the loose strand of hair on the woman's face. He held her hand and caress it softly

"How are you, Yoon Hee-ah?" Dr. Kang Ma Ru said, as he looked at Yoon Hee longingly. Yoon Hee is his first love, a one sided love he never got the chance to confess to. He just loves her from a distance.

*FLASHBACK 5 YEARS AGO*

Dr. Kang always had someone follow Yoon Hee ever since he saw the news about Yoon Hee's involvement on Min Seol A's murder case. Even on prison there is someone who looks after Yoon Hee for him.

On the day of Oh Yoon Hee's death, the man he paid to follow Yoon Hee called him telling him that the woman is in trouble and is now racing for her life. Ma Ru told him not to lose sight of her. But due to the fast happening he can't keep up. If it was not for those traffic lights and cars he would have been on time to save Yoon Hee. He arrived at the cliff when Cheon Seo Jin was pushing the car towards Yoon Hee. The man saw how Yoon Hee fell off the cliff with the 2 cars.

He immediately called Kang Ma Ru, the one who hired him, regarding what happened. The man already went to the ocean to look for Yoon Hee, he did not wait for his boss to arrive as he knows how grave the situation is. Ma Ru immediately pulled strings and called for help. He made sure no one will know that he saved Yoon Hee as he knows how dangerous the situation is now for her. They found Yoon Hee and immediately transferred her to the hospital where he works at "Asan Medical Center" in Seoul. During the transport and while in the ambulance he tried to revive Yoon Hee. He did CPR for a long time waiting for Yoon Hee's breath to come back.

"Yoon Hee Ah, Dont leave me!" he said while doing compressions on her chest.

Yoon Hee coughed the water she ingested while drowning in the cold ocean. She opened her eyes briefly and said "Ro Na '' before she lost consciousness again. Ma Ru admitted her to the top floor of the hospital as a SVIP patient.

He also asked people to do some dirty work for him. He asked a prosthetics team to immediately make a mask similar to Yoon Hee's face. They also threw the dead body of a Jane Doe in the ocean. He also paid the police and everyone incharge on Yoon Hee's case. He paid a lot just for the sake of Yoon Hee.

"I will make sure no one will hurt you anymore, Yoon Hee- ah" Ma Ru said as Yoon Hee recently passed the critical phase. From there on Yoon Hee never wakes up.

AT THE MUSIC DEPARTMENT AFTER PARTY

During the afterparty of the music department as the Music Festival ended an alumni came, it's none other than the famous and handsome Lee Do Hyun. He already debuted and made a lot of music on his own. He walked towards Ro Na's table and sat in front of her seat. He seems to know Ro Na as they're exchanging looks.

The president of the department asked "Do you both know each other?" as he noticed them.

"Ani!" Ro Na exclaimed

"Ne" Do Hyun said cooly

Ro Na glared at Do Hyun for that. And the modern department is uproar at what happened.
