[Y/N]
•The walk outside was... Awkward to say the least.
My eyes flicker over to Sal for about the 10th time. What did he see? Did he even see anything at all? Maybe he heard the demon? The thought of it all made me chew on my lip nervously.
I would definitely have to tell Vee about this. But how did I honestly think this was all over? It's never that simple. Especially in this town.
"Hey, (Y/N), what do you think we should do?" Sal's voice cut through the busy chatter of my mind.
Snapping out of my thoughts, I looked over to the two boys. I caught myself staring into Sal's eyes for a second longer than I locked eyes with Sal. His eyes were so mesmerizing. I found myself getting lost in their blueness, the color reminding me of the ocean. Very deep, and not much that had been explored. He cleared his throat awkwardly, pulling me back to reality.
"O-Oh, I'm sorry, what were we talking about?" I asked, my eyes drifting back to Larry.
"We were trying to figure out where we should go hang out first. Dude, are you sure you're okay?" Larry stared at me with a concerned expression.
"Yeah, I'm fine. You know how much I hate roaches." I chuckled nervously.
"I thought you said it was a spider." Sal chimed in.
I looked back at Sal, shifting my stance awkwardly. "Oh, well, spiders, roaches, same thing really. Anyways, we could go to Hot Topic."
The two metal heads exchanged glances before nodding. The rest of the walk to the car was silent. It seemed like no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get the image of that demon towering over me out of my head. It consumed my every thought, every time I closed my eyes, it was there.
--
It took about 30 minutes to get there. Nockfell was a very small town, so to get to any big name stores like Hot Topic, you had to drive a bit of a ways out.
We walked into the store, that familiar smell hitting my nose. I smiled softly to myself, the slight nostalgia from it all seeping in.
I turned back, looking up at Larry. "Hey, I heard some new Sanity's Fall merch was just dropped here, you should check it out."
"Dude, really? You two have fun, I'm gonna go blow all my money on this shit." Larry said excitedly. And with that, he dashed off to go look for the merch.
I chuckled lightly at him, turning my attention to Sal. The air grew thick again. With the car ride here and previous banter, I almost forgot about what happened back at the apartments.
For a minute, Sal and I just kind of stared at each other. With the way that he looked at me, I could tell he wanted to ask me something. But I wasn't ready to give up any information. The risk was too high.
"Hey, you aren't going to go off on your own? Y'know, to go find some stuff?" Sal finally broke the silence.
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. "Nah, I didn't really have anything in mind. Besides, we're supposed to be hanging out, right?"
He was silent for a second, his blue orbs scanning over me. Yeah, they definitely reminded me of the ocean.
"Yeah, you're right." He breathed out. It was so quiet I almost missed it.
I looked at him for a second longer, then turned on my heel to go look for something to buy. I walked through the store, picking up random items, Sal following close behind me.
As I was looking, I found a necklace that caught my eye. Picking it up, I examined it closely. It had a little crystal pendant dangling from a brown string. The crystal was blue, kind of like Sal's hair. The tinge of guilt I felt for having this weird distaste for him surfaced back into my mind.
"Hey, um, I'm sorry." Sal suddenly spoke up from behind me.
"Sorry? For what?" I asked, turning around to face him.
"I, uh, noticed that you seemed irritated with me earlier. I just wanted to apologize, I didn't know that I did something wrong."
I looked down at the necklace in my hand, running my finger over the gold wire that tied the crystal to the necklace. I fiddled with it for a second before looking back at Sal.
"You don't even know what you're apologizing for." I said before passing him the necklace and walking off to find some more items. He quickly followed suit, almost stepping on my heel in the process.
"Well, I had to do something, right?" He pleaded.
"It's fine, really, you did nothing wrong." I reassured him, trying my hardest to drop the topic. I really didn't want him to feel responsible for my own emotions.
"Are you sure? I just-"
"I said you're fine, Sal. Please just- just drop it, okay?" I sighed. I turned to face him, a frown setting into my expression.
His posture stiffened a little. I instantly felt guilty, a part of me wanting to apologize immediately. I tugged on my lip with my teeth, that nervous habit getting the best of me.
"I'm...I'm gonna go find Larry." I said before pushing past Sal.

•You walked off, leaving Sal behind you. He looked down at the necklace you gave him, feeling conflicted. His brows furrowed together.
He knew something was wrong. Well, aside from the obvious note that you were upset at him for something. The energy change he felt when you entered that bathroom back at Larry's. It was as if there was another person had entered the apartment.
And the way you came out the bathroom, too. You looked terrified. He knew that the spider was a cover up for something, but what? There was something going on, and he was going to find out.
His hands gripped onto the necklace, bringing him back to reality. Sal let out a quiet sigh, deciding to catch up with you and Larry. He turned around and made his way to try and find you two.

•By the end of our shopping trip, I ended up with 3 new shirts, one of which being a Sanity's Fall tee (thay Larry forced me to get), a Funko Pop, and a really funky looking pen. I bought the necklace for Sal. I guess it was kind of a way to apologize to him for this mess.
We all got back into Lisa's car. Larry started it up, the rumble of the car somewhat calming my nerves. I stared out the window, looking at nothing in particular. Then my phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out, looking at the notification.
Dumb Bitch 💜
>Hey. I felt a really bad energy, a while ago. What happened? It was Viola. I hurriedly typed a reply.
You
I'll explain it when I get back, but I think< something is going on. It might be really bad tho.I sighed. There was so much happening at once. I leaned back into my seat, just listening to the music that played from the aux. I was so tired. When would this all end?
[3rd person]
•Larry looked at your tired form through the rear view mirror. He was really worried about you. He knew you wanted this to be for the two of you to hang out again, but he really wanted you to get along with Sal too.
On top of all that, he knew you were still upset about the events from your birthday. He could only imagine trying to get away from one tragedy to be met with another. It hurt him to see his best friend in this state, but he was trying his best to make you feel better.
[A/N: Hey!! Sorry I posted this a little late, some stuff came up lol. But hopefully I'll be able to get back on schedule. Also I just realized that I wrote some of the events wrong, so I'll probably be going back and changing some stuff up. I'm also trying to get better at proof reading lmao so thats something. One last thing, chapter 2 events from the game will start happening here, and y'all will learn a little bit about (Y/N)'s past :). I have a lot planned for this fic lol. Anyways, that's all, I love y'all 💜]
