Logan's POV
"I'm trying to get a tan here," I hissed at the male model who blocked the view of the sun.
Justin reluctantly walked over to Trent who stood a few feet away.
"You're already tan enough from last season," Duncan said, gesturing to my bronze legs that were spread out on the pavement.
"Well maybe I want my tan to last longer incase Chris decides to lock us up in a cell for the next six weeks," I sallied, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
You never know with Chris McLean. I mean the bus stop that we were currently standing around was already shonky enough.
"Did you get your cartilage pierced?" DJ asked, pointing at the new piece of jewellery on top of my ear.
"Yeah, I took her," Duncan opined. Giving me a pleased look, he wrapped an arm around my shoulder.
I ended up staying at Duncan's place during the short two day break we got. He lived closer to Muskoka, and it gave us both an excuse to hang out with each other. I met his ma, too. The sweetest human on earth.
His mom kinda reminds me of myself in a way. After meeting her, I finally started to get why Duncan actually put in the effort into being my friend. He's a mommas boy for sure. I have yet to meet Duncan's dad though since he was away on some trip.
Nevertheless, I had a lot of fun. I got to tour his home town and completely demolish him in tennis on the Wii so you could say I was in a pleasant mood.
"You know Deej, he isn't as tough as he makes himself out to be," I spoke, nudging Duncan's stomach. "He bought me this." I held up the charm dangling off of my choker.
Duncan scoffed, removing himself from me. "You begged me to get it."
"I was casually window shopping as any poor person would do and you somehow noticed," I pointed out.
"You were practically gawking at the choker. If I didn't get it for you, you'd be crying on my bed still," Duncan replied.
I snorted. "Crying? That was you when I crushed you in that game of tennis!" I belittled.
"O-"
A vehicle squealed stopping Duncan from his counterattack. We turned our heads to see a run down bus brake beside us.
Cool, so we're in the middle of nowhere with a dodgy looking bus. Chris definitely plotted our deaths. I mean isolated location, a pooped out vehicle, and fifteen teens. Doesn't seem sketchy to me at all.
"Of course the producers managed to get us this hooey of a jalopy," I heard Heather mutter after she got done arguing with Gwen over nonsense as usual.
"What did you expect?" Gwen responded as the doors of the bus screeched open. Exhaust came out of the muffler, making us all cough.
Sighing, I stood up and slipped on my backpack before heading towards the bus with the other contestants. I was one of the last people to get on, but I managed to claim a window seat at the front. Duncan slid into the seat next to me.
"Who said you could fall asleep on me?" Duncan asked as I placed my head on his shoulder.
"Shut up," I grumbled, scooting closer to him.
~
"Hey..." I felt someone slightly shake me. "We're here."
"Huh?" I rubbed my sore eyes to see the contestants scrambling to grab their luggage from behind us.
"Oh." I rotated my shoulders before standing up. "Did I snore?"
"No, but you drooled a little," Duncan answered, gesturing to the small wet spot on his shirt. I instantly felt my face heat up.
