Logan's POV

I placed my hand on top of Duncan's shoulder.

"Can we talk?" I asked softly as I watched him stare at the limousine that was driving away from us. He slowly lowered his head.

"Yeah." Giving him a gentle look, I dragged him over to the bushes that were away from the other contestants.

Though I was still quite upset at him, I knew nothing wasn't going to be solved until we talked to each other one on one.

"I know I could've been more unflustered when telling you about Gwen, so I'm sorry for that," I said to him first. "Being harsh wasn't the best move, and I could've handled the situation differently."

"You were right about Gwen, though," he sighed, glancing back at the Walk of Shame. "I should've listened to you. Sorry."

"Well it's done and over with now, right?" I shrugged it off.

I didn't exactly know how to feel about the situation. Gwen and I weren't enemies, but we weren't exactly friends, either. We just got along with each other. So yeah, I was a bit hurt by her actions. I can't imagine how Duncan feels though since they grew pretty close this season.

"You know, Gwen's sorry, too," Duncan spoke up.

"Yeah, I heard." I glanced down at my converse.

Was I supposed to forgive Gwen for what she did? And I never really got to hear her side of the story so I can't be quick to judge anymore, can I?

Now that she's gone, I guess maybe I should brush off the situation for now and save it for another day. Who knows, maybe Gwen and I can become acquaintances again.

"Are we good?" I asked quietly, lifting my head. "Because I don't want to have tension between us for the rest of the competition and-"

"Stop your ranting. Let's just put it aside for now and when the day comes, we can talk about it again with Gwen," Duncan cut me off.

Smiling, he invited me into a hug. I gladly accepted his invitation.

"Thanks for listening," I murmured.

I'm glad that that's finally resolved. Now I just have to wait until I see Gwen again so I can talk it out with her. But for now, I have to get my head back into the game.

"You two lovebirds coming or what?" Leshawna hollered out from the bleachers. We pulled away to see Heather and Harold parleying with the Killer Grips that joined them.

"We'll be right there!" I called back before glancing up at Duncan again. "Everything's all right, right? No hard feelings, no-"

"Chill Logan, we're good. Now let's go." He gestured towards his back as he bent down to my level.

"You know me too well." After climbing on top of him, he carried me over to the other contestants.

"You know, you're not a very good liar," he murmured, looking up at me. I shook my head, leaning closer to him.

"Ha, everything is so much smaller than I remember!" Izzy exclaimed as the teens and I made our way back to the trailers.

"I still can't believe Gwen made a side deal with the other team," Duncan said. "Didn't know she had it in her."

When Duncan and I reached the rest of the contestants, the Grips revealed to us their deal they had with Gwen. It made much more sense why Gwen was acting the way she was, but that was still lousy of her to do.
