First Love

<22> A step

"I'm finally 18!! Woooh!!" Alex cheered out as we all had a toast.

We're all celebrating the after-party of Alex's debut.

She's finally an adult!

"Finally can drink!" Alex sighed in relief as she continued to drink the liquor she had.

"We still have to be responsible you know," Josh stated as he tried to take Alex's cup from her.

Alex frowned but allowed Josh to take her cup anyway. She then stood up and took my hand.

"C'mon! Let's swim!" Alex exclaimed as she pulled me close to the pool.

I laughed and nodded as I let her pull me. We stopped for a while to take off the oversized shirt that was covering up my swimwear.

Alex and I tossed our cover-ups on our seats as she jumped to the pool while I slowly went to the mini-steps by the pool, afraid to fall over if I ever slipped.

Soon enough, the boys joined and we splashed and played together. 

Of course, the fact that the amount of skinship Josh and Alex were having in the pool would never escape my sight.

I feel happy for them that they got to fix their problems together and got to give each other the chances they deserve.

After Alex's debut, we were all back to reality.

The semester is about to end and we would be needing to study for the entrance exams we're all planning to take.

Alex and I decided to go to the same university for college. When we opened it to the boys, they all went along and decided to join us too.

"But why though?" Alex asked as we all talked about it since it was our lunch break.

"Well, personally, I still have no idea where I'd be continuing college. But since there's that kind of university around here, might as well go there right?" Josh reasoned out.

We all nodded in acknowledgment.

"Agree. And, I've searched the school for more information. We can still all be together in one school even if we all have different dreams," Vince added which made us nod once again in agreement.

"But of course, we're could still have new friends because not all the time, we have to like be together and stuff," I stated and looked at them, waiting for their reaction. 

They responded positively which made me relieved.

I just didn't want them to be stuck with us all through their lives. They still have the right to find new friends. But, I do hope that our friendship wouldn't just fade right away.

"Just better make sure you don't replace us or else," Alex threatened which made me chuckle.

The three boys had their hands up as if they were surrendering and crack up right after.

The past few days flew by fast. Most of the time that we would hang out, we were all preoccupied with the requirement we had to finish before the school year ends.

"Toni, have you done the task Mrs. Hera gave?" Alex asked while we were all hanging out on our usual spot, finishing our requirements and tasks.

I nodded and showed her my finished result as I proof.

"When would you guys start reviewing for the entrance exams, by the way?" Vince suddenly asked when we were walking our way to our classrooms.
