"Clear this house" Cam ordered the group "anything you find you tell me before keeping it for yourself" He added.
"In hate being ordered around like this, but we're surviving and his decisions are good" Rebekah whispered to Joe. "He's smart I'll give him that" Joe replied. They all went over to the house, Cam tapped on the window but he heard nothing, he went over to the door and opened it. "Rebekah and Joe you search the downstairs, Jason, Sandra and I will check up stairs" He ordered again. Cam made his way up the stairs first, a walker came round the corner but Cam was prepared and he shot with his pistol which now had a suppressor on. He searched room to room and he managed to find the odd useful thing here and there. He made his way down stairs, "look what I found a can of soup" Rebekah said with happiness.
"Good you hold on to that for now Ella... I mean Rebekah" Cam said in shock. No one said a word about what he said but they went outside and followed Cam to the next house. "This street is almost clear if we built walls around to make it safe we could use it as a long term camp." Cam suggested. "Yeah I can see us here it could be safe and Rebekah could be safe here." Joe said. They cleared out the last house and met in the centre of the street. "It might take a couple of months to make us safe but we need to feel safe again" Cam told the group. That evening they built a fire in the middle and sat around it. "We need times like this to make us feel normal again" Jason said. "Well, make the most of it because tomorrow we're getting to work on the walls" Cam said. "Hey Joe you killed a rabbit earlier how about you cook it" Rebekah suggested.
Joe rested a long metal plate on two planks of wood above the fire and he placed the rabbit on it. "How long will that take to cook?" Rebekah asked.
Cam laughed and asked "you hungry?"
"Yeah starving" Rebekah told him.
"It should be about 20 minutes and then you can dig in" Cam told Rebekah.
