Chapter 11 - Road Block

The two cars drove down the never ending roads, one car had Cam driving, with Joe in the passenger and Rebekah and James in the back. The other with Sandra driving, Jason in passenger and Carlos in the back.
"You could have let me drive" Joe argued,
"How are you going to drive with one hand?" Cam asked,
"It's an automatic I only one hand on the wheel" Joe replied,
"So you're willing to risk Rebekah's and my life so you can't drive?" Cam asked. Joe did not reply to Cam and instead faced towards the window.
"Besides I can always drive" James stated,
"Did you ever learn how to drive?" Cam asked humorously,
"No but do I really need to stay on one side of the road these days?" James said smiling,
"So that means I could drive as well if James didn't learn either?" Rebekah asked
"No!" Everyone said laughing,
"Wait hold on how have you learned to drive Cam you're not old enough yet?" Rebekah asked,
"I didn't get lessons, I learned during all this but it's not hard, and I am probably old enough by now though" Cam replied,
"Do you remember back in at school when we said we were never going to drive?" James asked Cam and Joe,
"Yeah, but not I actually can't" Joe replied.

Suddenly Sandra stopped her car in front and Cam had to immediately brake to prevent crashing into her. Cam used his radio to contact Sandra,
"What's up?" Cam asked,
"We're not getting past" Sandra replied,
"Can't we just move it?" Cam suggested,
"There's walkers" Sandra replied straight away, "don't get out it's too dangerous" she added.
"Can we do anything?" Cam asked,
"No, just sit tight" She replied. Son the herd of walkers were bashing against both cars,
"Looks like we'll be here for a while" Joe said,
"Will they go away?" Rebekah asked,
"When the sun goes down they won't be able to see in the car so they'll leave" Cam replied.

An hour past and the sun was almost gone, the walkers were still bashing against the cars and the cars were steamed up,
"It's hot" Sandra said,
"Can't do anything about it" Carlos told her. Jason was looking around in the car and he opened up the glove compartment and he found an eye patch,
"Somehow I feel I was meant to find that" Jason said taking the eye patch from the compartment,
"Oh yeah that was me I found it in one of the houses and I it took for you, I forgot it was in there" Sandra said,
"Thanks" Jason replied. He put it on covering the eye which he knew he would never get back, "now it won't get infected and it doesn't look bad for you guys" Jason told them. Suddenly there was the sound of gun fire and the zombies outside started falling one by one very fast. Once they were all gone they got out cautiously, and they could see a man staining in front of car with an Ak47, he was slim and he was wearing a burglar mask.
"Hello" The man said. Suddenly Joe got out of the car behind and walked fast up to the man and punch him and knocked him flat out,
"Why did you do that?" Sandra asked,
"Just taking cautions" Joe replied,
"Can we trust him?" Jason asked. Cam walked up to the man on the floor and knelt down and took his mask off,
"Yeah" Cam replied sounding Shocked.

"Joe come and look" Cam said. Joe came over and looked at the man,
"Holy Shit" Joe said smiling,
"What is it?" Jason asked,
"An old friend" Cam replied,
"You knew him, what's his name?" Sandra asked,
"Lukeus" Cam replied.
"He saved our lives, we have to bring him with us" Jason told everyone,
"I didn't stop to think about it, he's was a good mate to me years ago" Cam told Jason. They moved the walkers out the way and got Lukeus in the car and they all left getting closer to Area 51.
