Chapter 7 - A Boat?

"We need to get going" Joe said waking up Rebekah and James.
"Five more minutes" Rebekah said half awake. Joe shook Rebekah and then he went over to James and did the same.
"Ok ok I'm up" James said.
Once they were all ready they walked out the door walking down the long road heading for the coast.
"What should we expect when we get there?" Rebekah asked,
"I'm not sure I haven't been there yet, we could expect to see a sanctuary open for us possibly" Joe replied,
"Would we bring Cam and the others here if there is one?" Rebekah asked,
"Yeah that would be nice" Joe answered. A couple of hours later they were on the outskirts of the coast, "do you think we should contact Cam saying we're almost there?" Rebekah asked,
"Yeah ok give it ago" Joe told her. Rebekah took the walkie talkie from her belt and then she pressed the button, "Hello anyone there?" She asked the radio,
"Hello girl" The radio said,
"Who is this?" Joe asked taking the radio from Rebekah,
"That doesn't matter, what does matter is who you are?" The radio questioned,
"We're the people who are going to kill you if you touch our friends!" Joe shouted.
"Well if you try and do that, I will just kill your friends now!" The radio shouted back.
"Joe we're alive for now, don't worry about us just keep Rebekah safe" the voice of Sandra came from the radio. Joe put the radio onto his belt,
"What are we going to do?" Rebekah asked,
"I don't know" Joe said,
"Well they said they were ok for now, so we can go back for them once we get our boat" James said,
"You two go and get the boat and I shall go straight back now" Joe said,
"And what are you thinking of doing when you get there?" James asked
"Rescuing our friends" Joe said,
"We'll be ok Joe you go and to them and we will save you when we get back with a boat" Rebekah told Joe,
"Ok you two stay safe, and stay away from the cities" Joe ordered. Joe then walked back down the road and James and Rebekah walked the opposite way, Rebekah kept looking back until Joe was out of sight.

"I can see the sea!" Rebekah shouted with delight. She then ran straight to a sandy beach, once she got over there, she knelt down once she could see the whole sea. James came running over to her. "What's wrong?" James asked,
"Look" Rebekah replied. James looked at the sea and there was no boat insight.
"People must have took them all before things went down hill" James said.
"You looking for a boat?" A voice said. James and Rebekah turned around and there was a person with a hood over his head.
"Yeah do you know where one is?" James asked the person.
"Well yeah but it's not for free" The person replied.
"What do you want for it" James asked,
"Long term safety, you can't imagine how many close shaves I've had out here already" The person answered.
"Believe me I think we can, well we have a camp, it should be fully fortified by now and we've got long term supply's" James offered the person, he thought for a bit and then he answered,
"you know what, what have i got to lose, take the boat as long as I come back with you" The person replied.
"Have you got a vehicle to pull it?" James asked,
"Of course, I'm Carlos by the way" the person said taking his hood off.
"It's good to meet you Carlos, I'm James and and this is Rebekah" James said shaking Carlos's hand.

Back at the camp Cam was dragged into a dark room and tied to a chair,
"I know who you are" Dave said "and I think you know who I am don't you?" he added.
"Yes" Cam said.
"Well then you know you deserve a lot more than what your getting" Dave said...
