That morning, Minghao left their apartment, not having breakfast.
He really did have a class soon, but he still had more than enough time to eat. Right now, he just wants space between the two of them.
If I don't do this, I'll just end up hurting myself more. It'll only be harder for me to move on. I need to accept things as they are now.
Junhui has a girlfriend.
I can't be with him.
I can't keep expecting for the impossible to happen.
I can't keep hoping that we would just miraculously become together because that's not how it is.
It never was.
And it never will be.
Right?
The class started and Minghao couldn't focus at all.
He was just... thinking.
And thank god that the professor for this class was pretty chill. The last thing he needed right now was a terror professor.
After class, he walked towards the building that Mingyu would be in. Since he randomly came up with the excuse of 'going somewhere with Mingyu' just to avoid Junhui, he thought that he should at least play the part.
Talking with Mingyu wasn't a bad idea though. It might be good for him.
A chance to release.
Which room was he in again?
He was at the first floor of the building, looking at the directory to figure out where to go. Unfortunately, he didn't understand a single thing.
He sighed.
I should've asked Mingyu before going here.
He turned around and looked at the many students in the same floor.
One of them is bound to know who Mingyu is, right?
But of course, Minghao being an introvert, he wasn't really the type of person to talk to strangers.
So, here he is.
Conflicted on who he's going to ask, how he's going to ask, and when is the right timing to ask.
Excuse me. Do you know someone named Kim Mingyu?
A big dog named Mingyu is missing. Can you help me find him?
Hello, do you know Kim Mingyu?
Do you know a beanpole called Kim Mingyu?
Hello, help me.
He rehearsed it in his head a few times in variation, to find the best way to ask.
He looked around to find the perfect candidate to ask a question. Unfortunately for him, most of the people there were in groups of friends.
And interacting with a group of many strangers was not his thing.
He took a step back and, but he seemed to have hit an obstacle behind him.
"Ow!" Minghao wasn't hurt at all, he just said it in impulse as he was surprised.
"Oh, sorry. Are you alright?" A voice in front of him said.
Minghao bumped into someone as he was walking backwards.
Minghao turned around to face the person behind him. "No, it's my faul-"
