Chapter 4: Victory Tour Part 1

"Wait...Mum?"

"Hey Y/n."

"What are you doing here?"

Sienna remained quiet only giving her son a smile as she approached the platform of the train station. Y/n and his team were just about to head out on the train to start his victory tour as his prep team started loading things on the train.

"Well, knowing how your mum is so wonderful, she managed to pull a few strings. Since I'm a Victor myself, I'm joining my son on his victory tour." Sienna says happily as her son grows a confused smile.

"Really? But what about-"

"Kali said she'd look after Axel while we're gone. I just thought you'd need my support going through this. After all this isn't my first victory tour, I know what to expect."

"I guess I'll have to thank her then when we get back."

"That you will. Now, let's get aboard. We can't waste time." Sienna said as Y/n followed her on the train.

"I'm really glad you're coming with me Mum."

"What kind of Mum would I be if I didn't? I know how confronting this experience can be, so I'll be here for you no matter what."

"Thanks mum." Y/n said as they proceeded through a couple carriages until they found the passenger car. Glynda and Ghira, along with Coco, Octavia and Flavius were already waiting as the train began to pull out of the station.

"Okay young man, you should probably get some sleep. You have to be up and ready quite early tomorrow so we can run through a few things." Glynda says.

"Sure. I'll see you all in the morning. Goodnight."

"Goodnight Y/n." Everyone said simultaneously as Y/n made his way through the door to the next carriage. He opened the door to his bedroom, which funny enough was the same one he came in when he was reaped last year for his games. He sat on his bed, looking out the train window at the starry night sky as his mind wandered, thinking about what was in store for him during this trip.

'Guess I'll find out soon enough'

Morning came as the sun shone brilliantly amongst the cloudless sky. Everyone was up bright and early as they sat at the dining table in the dining car of the train, eating breakfast, discussing the schedule of the tour and what was required of Y/n as he traveled from district to district. But of course Glynda had to explain it all in a more lavish and extravagant manner, seeing this opportunity as a prize. Coming from the Capitol herself, Glynda hasn't had to know the hardships the citizens of the districts go through on a day to day basis, only knowing comfort and luxury. This put Y/n in a bit of a grouchy mood as she clearly dismissed how hard this all must be for the young Tiger Faunus.

"Fabulous food, fabulous wine, the messages, spa treatments. I told them nothing but the best for my amazing Victor. It all needs to be, uh..."

"Fabulous?" Ghira says in an exaggerated sophisticated tone.

"Exactly." Glynda says with a smile. "Now, the schedule is a bit of a bear. 12 days, 12 districts. But it's mostly parties, celebrations, adoring fans to greet you at every stop along the way, and then we wrap it up in the Capitol. All you need to do is give a few speeches, wave to the crowds, and enjoy your time in the spotlight. You've earned it."

"What did you say?" Y/n said in a taken back manner as he looked at Glynda with disdain.

"Y/n..." Sienna tried to get her son to stop but he ignored her.
