For the next two days, Y/n tries to spend time with everybody headed for the arena, trying hard to be sociable. After lunch on the third day of training, Y/n tries out the edible-insect station with the District 8 tributes - Cecelia, who's got three kids at home, who sadly had to pry off her body when her name was drawn at the Reaping. And Woof, a really old guy who's hard of hearing and doesn't seem to know what's going on since he kept trying to stuff poisonous bugs in his mouth.

Wesley and Winter from District 1 invite Y/n over to make hammocks for a while. For Y/n it was a bit discomforting. Knowing that these two are Weiss' older siblings, yet they didn't seem to hold any animosity towards him. In fact, Wesley was actually quite friendly with him, making general conversation and sharing their thoughts on the upcoming games, discussing what biome this year's arena may be set in. But Winter was reserved and kept to herself, making the situation a little awkward for Y/n. It didn't help that the whole time he kept thinking about how he killed Archer in his games and how he befriended their sister, only for her to die as well. They probably knew Archer too and might even have been his and Weiss' mentors. Both Y/n attempts at making hammocks and connecting with them were mediocre at best.

Y/n joins Adam, from District 4 at sword training and exchanges a few comments, but it's clear neither of them wanted to team up. Neapolitan, or "Neo" as the other Victors called her, from District 2 joined the two of them as she and Adam talked, or rather through sign language with him. Y/n didn't have a clue what they were conversing about, but if her glares towards Y/n were any sign, probably nothing good about him.

And lastly, the Morphlings from District 6, the masters of camouflage. Y/n joined the two at the camouflage station where they taught him how to properly conceal oneself through paint. They were VERY skilled in this field, being able to blend into every environment. He didn't get the males name since he wasn't very talkative, but the girl, Y/n recognised her. She won the games just the year before. The 74th Hunger Games.

'I can't believe she had to come back after just a year. How awful...' Y/n thought.

It was true. The girl, who he learned was named Ilia, won last year's Hunger Games. And now a year later, she's back into this mess. Y/n couldn't even imagine how horrifying this must have been for her, only being 17. Not that she had a choice since she's the only female Victor District 6 has. Although Y/n understood how she won. Ilia was an Iguana Faunus, being able to camouflage her skin to match any environment.

It was quite controversial because people argued it gave her an unfair advantage. But in Y/n books, she was born with a gift and she used it to her utmost advantage. Ilia was a very kind girl Y/n soon found out as she told him that she was rooting for him during his games, which was surprising considering the male from 6 his year made it past the first day. But she revealed how sorry she felt for him, having to volunteer in his brother's place. That no one should have to do that, but somewhat proud that he was so selfless. They talked about each other's districts and what each one was like in detail. Being from District 6, Ilia has worked on many types of transportation vehicles all her life. She was a good mechanic, but hated the work she did.
