Prologue

"Kumi, come on! Mom and dad are waiting!"

Kumiko looked up at hearing her sister yelling. She was practicing her fire dancing routine but decided to pause to eat with her family.

She and her sister were two years apart, and were adopted when she was 9 and Emiko was 11. Their own mother and father died in a car accident with them inside.

Their father, Ryo, had died instantly as he was the driver. But their mother, Machi, sacrificed herself to get the girls out before the engine caught fire and the car erupted into flames.

Emiko had been 9 and saw the whole thing, shielding her 7 year old sister from the view.

Luckily a couple nearby had saw it happen and brought the girls inside while calling the police. And after that only a few years went by until their adoptive parents came to have them in their family.

And here the Katori sisters thought the car accident was the worst thing that could happen to them...
