Minato definitely was a magnet for trouble growing up. Always being a source of conflict for his older twin brother, Daisuke. Not to mention, growing Minato always had an eye for a pretty redheaded girl, but he of course had "boy logic". Meaning if he got her attention by being annoying, he still got attention from her.
But as he grew older, he inherited his grandfather's tendency of mental illness, such as depression. Daisuke tried helping as much as he could, but he couldn't fight Minato's demons all of the time.
So to clear his mind and find himself, one day Minato went surfing when a giant wave took him by surprise. He went under, struggling to keep his head above water when the wave took him away and hit his head against a sharp rock, knocking him out.
When he woke up, his body was on the sandy beach, vision blurry. Above him was a figure, female, and with red hair. It wasn't difficult to figure out whom, but his head hurt too much to think. He heard her shouting for Daisuke and as his brother came at a fast pace, he knew no matter what he could always count on his brother to save him and his favorite sewing gal too.
Years later, his brother was accepted into the prestigious school, Success Granted High School, as was Yui. He wasn't surprised, knowing they were both talented. But he was surprised that he himself got in. But he wouldn't look a gift as a curse. After all...
He'd be with his big bro after all.
