Explosive Temper

You stupid bitch! How many times have I told you not to go in my  workshop?”
“But-”
“I don't want to hear it! I've warned you before. You've ruined everything.” Eustass Kid took a breath from yelling at his girlfriend of three months before speaking again. “I'm going on the island to replenish my tools. When I get back, I want you off this ship.”
“But Kid I-” you tried to protest.
“That's an order, ____. And don't bother coming back this time.” Without another word, the angry redhead stormed out of his workshop and off the ship.
You couldn't have felt more miserable as you went to your room to pack. You hadn't meant to mess up his workshop, you'd just been going over some of his blueprints for ideas on a new weapon you were trying to design. As the ship's weakest member, you had to fight from a distance until you got your strength up and thus had a talent for creating ranged weapons which is what had caught Kid's attention from the beginning.
Unfortunately, in your hunt for ideas, a grenade you'd been tweaking fell from your pocket and exploded, making a mess of all of Kid's material and burning several of his blueprints. Your fiery Captain had kicked you off the ship before, but this time you felt it best if you stayed off like he suggested.

Kid's POV

God damnit, I feel like an ass. I thought as I downed my third tankard of Sake. I'm sure she didn't mean to blow up my workshop, but she could've been hurt or killed!
He knew he had a short temper but it always seemed to flare up worse whenever your safety was concerned. You were weak, but Kid could see your determination not to let that hold you back from causing chaos and he loved that about you. He adored your spunk and liked that you were able to handle his harsh attitude. For the most part, anyway. I added mentally as the image of ____’s hurt expression flashed in my mind again. “Fuck, I need to go apologize,” I grumbled, standing from my seat and paying for my drinks.

Your POV

About two hours had passed since your Captain had stormed from his ship, but you couldn't find the will to leave. If he's going to kill me for staying, might as well face it. You thought, sitting in your room. A knock roused you from your thoughts and you debated on just ignoring them. Upon opening the door at the second knock, you found the almighty Eustass Kid with a bouquet of (favorite flowers) and a container of (favorite dessert) in his hands.
“Kid?” you questioned.
“I was hoping you hadn't left yet. I brought these as an apology. I know I can be an ass, but I worry about your safety. Especially in battle,” he explained.
You remained silent a moment before you looked him in the eye. “Do you love me, Eustass Kid?” you asked.
“I love you, (f/n) (l/n). Please don't leave me. I promise I'll try to be nicer. Only to you though.”
You smiled at that and pulled him down to your height for a kiss. “Then you're forgiven.”

“I told you he had a soft spot for her.” a certain masked pirate commented.
“Go to hell, Killer,” Wire grumbled, handing over the ten bellie he'd lost to the massacre soldier.
