= 𝑭𝑳𝒀 = 【날기】

𝚃𝚑𝚒𝚛𝚝𝚢-𝙽𝚒𝚗𝚎

"The blockers- this is my chance!" Y/N thought, switching from a setting position to a spiking position mid-air.  She spiked it with her right as hard as she could.

THUD!

"Y/N-AHH!"

SCREEECH!

The whistle blew, pausing Tancheok and Kimsang's game.  Solar ran onto the court and so did the referees.  Dahyun protectively held Y/N in her arms as Yuju stared in horror.  "Y/N-ah..." Solar quietly spoke, waving her hand in front of Y/N's face.  The latter remained unresponsive.

Yuju's eyes began to sting, watching the blood run from the top of Y/N's head to her face.  Y/N's eyes were closed but she was still breathing.  Sihyuk's boys that were in charge of their game hurried Y/N out of the gym and to the medic bay.  Dahyun could only stand still, her eyes still.  The court was quiet.

Minnie and Yeji watched as the unconscious Y/N was carried out.  Soyeon could not help but look away.  Moonbyul sighed heavily and patted Yuju's head.  Tancheok's ace began to tear up uncontrollably.  "Yah, it wasn't your fault, dongsaeng." Moonbyul continued to pat Yuju's head.

"We will enter a brief intermission!" A referee stated loudly, holding the Tancheok and Kimsang game.

The teams return to their benches and could only hope that Y/N was going to be alright.

=Some years ago=12:51 PM=

"Y/N-ah!"

Y/N was awoken by her best friend, Dahyun, after laying on the roof of their school and accidentally falling asleep.  Dahyun looked over at her worryingly.  Y/N notices and waved it off- until her hand was gently grabbed by the latter.  Dahyun inspects Y/N's arms and notices the large amount of bandaging.

"It's nothing to worry about." Y/N simply spoke, standing up to stretch.

"It's very much something to worry about, Y/N-ah!  You're working yourself too much- you know," Dahyun sighed and began to massage Y/N's arms.  "One of these days, you're going to hurt yourself so bad- that you'll leave me alone on the court," she frowned.  Y/N looked away guiltily, Dahyun moves her chin to face her, "You promise me that you won't do that?"

Y/N stared into Dahyun's eyes, finding worry and fear in them.  Y/N nodded.  "I promise."

=Present=

"Where's Y/N-shi?" Jeongyeon asked, noticing the absence of the short setter on the other court.

Ikjin and Hyebaek were having a tense game with Hyebaek in the lead by only two points in the first set, 14 to 16.

Mina looked over at the other court and didn't take long to realize what had happened.  Looking by the teams' faces and the little blood on the court being wiped by the managers.  Momo looked at Mina then followed her eyes to have her heart broken seeing Dahyun's face.

Soon, Ikjin and Hyebaek's benches were silent- realizing what came down on the other court.

On the other court, they remained silent.  The stakes were higher now.  Yerin felt her heart beat rapidly, knowing that she would have to fill in for Y/N.  "Yah!  Eyes up, Tancheok!" Solar yelled at them.  Tancheok snapped out of their silence and payed full attention to their manager.  "Y/N's out of the game.  We know how strong she is- she will recover!" she stated.  "In the meantime, we still have a game to win!  If we can't do it for ourselves, we must do it for Y/N-ah!  She didn't bust her and our asses off for us to cry about her absence!  We know how to handle ourselves!" Solar smacked each of their heads.

The referee blew the whistle to signal the start of their game again.  Tancheok walked off their bench and onto the court with a newfound determination.  Kimsang noticed making Yeji chuckle, "Well would you look at that..." she saw each of the Tancheok's players with fire in their eyes, "... we're screwed."
