That kiss..there was something about it. Serenity isn't one to let her guard down, so she made it very clear to me that she didn't want to be played. I understood her, but I wasn't expecting what was about to happen today.

I woke up to a bright light shining through Serenity's curtains. I had to get up so that I could take a shower. I shook Serenity softly, and she groaned due to her not being a morning person. "Seren, I gotta go k? I'll see you in 1st period." She nodded and before I left, I kissed her cheek.

After I got ready I headed into the school. As I was walking to my locker Russ spotted me. "Yo Luis! Where's Serenity at?" He asked holding up her shoes from last night. "I don't know man, she should be here in a few though." I told him. "Alright, well you, Connie, and Julie are the only ones who know her locker combo, so can you put them in there?"

"Yeah, for sure." I said grabbing the shoes and heading to heading to her locker. I finally opened her locker and set her shoes on one of her shelves. She had a picture of her and her brothers hanging up, and then one of her and her mom when she was little. I always did wonder how her mom passed, but out of respect for her, I felt it was best not to ask.

I closed the locker door shut and out of nowhere, Mindy appeared. "Hey Luis!" She greeted all cheery. "Uhh hi..why are you talking to me exactly?" I asked in utter confusion. "Why wouldn't I want to talk to you?" She asked batting her eyes.

"Because you made it pretty clear the other day that, you didn't want me." I responded. "That was until my boyfriend giving me any attention. Anyways what are you doing? Isn't this that girl Serena's locker?" She asked.

"Her names Serenity and yeah this is her locker. I was putting her shoes that your boyfriend almost ruined back." She gave a weird pouty face, "Oh well I'm sure she could've afforded new ones." I rolled my eyes at her comment. "On a different note, I just wanted to let you know that I'm free today after school around 2, if you're down, meet me under the bleachers." She said and walked away quickly.

I am so fucking screwed. How the hell did I end up liking both of them? Suddenly I started to forget Serenity's words. This was wrong, but why did I think it was right?

I got through about half of the day. I was happy about last night, but I didn't tell anyone, not even the girls that I kissed Luis. Lunchtime rolled around and Ken was telling me how they got back at varsity with liquid nitrogen. Speak of the devil..varsity had just walked right up to our table.

"Hey congrats on the Blake game." Rick said. "Yeah, right. We tied." Charlie shook his head. "Hey, a points a point. You guys proved your guts."

"You guy's set for dinner? Friday? Well it's a Eden Hall tradition, Varsity got to treat the freshman for dinner. So round up your posse and meet us at 6 at the Minnesota Club." I'll be honest, I wasn't sold on the idea of going anywhere with varsity, but once Adam reassured us that it was cool, I felt a little better about going.

School was over and I was in the library. I had my walkman and headset on while taking notes for a test we had coming up. Cypress Hill was playing and I was slowly nodding my head to the music.

"I've got to maintain, cause a n**** like me is goin' insane."

"Insane in the membrane, insane in the
brain-" My music suddenly paused and my headphones were snatched from my head.

"What the hell?" I looked up to see Rick Riley. "What do you want?" I scowled. "Hey I'm just trying to have a friendly conversation." He said sitting down.

"Save it..I hate you just as much as you hate me, maybe even more, so cut the crap and tell me why you're really here." I snarled. "I came to make you an offer." I squinted my eyes.

"If you go out with me, I'll spare your little ducky friends some embarrassment and torture. If not I'll just make your life a living hell." He said.

"Fuck that shit, make my life a living hell..I really don't care, but you're 17, and I'm 14, that is what I call creepy and disgusting." I said with slight anger.

"Ya'know, I've heard a lot about you Serenity. Twin sister of Jesse, and older sister of Terry. Right? It's funny because you try so hard to be like Jesse from what I've heard. I guess mommy's death really got you down."

"Drive-by, right? Man I wonder how the whole school will feel knowing that Serenity Hall's mother was involved in gang violence." He taunted. I just sat there in utter confusion. How did he know about my mom? I've never told anyone how she died, and my mom wasn't involved in gang violence. It was a wrong place, wrong time type of situation.

"There is a very very special place for you in hell." That was all I needed to say. I got up, grabbed my stuff and walked back to my dorm. On my way there, I heard my pager beep. It was Jesse, so I went to the pay phone that was next to my dorm and I called him.

"Hey sis, how've you been?" "Ehh, I've been better. There's this guy who's been messing with the ducks and I." I explained. "Are you alright? Has he tried to hurt you?" He asked. "No, not physically, but he probably will when we play varsity in the jv versus varsity showdown." I said.

"Well if he does try to hurt you physically, outside of hockey, you know what to do. Plus if I gotta go down there myself I will." I chuckled at this.

"Calm down Jess, you don't gotta come down here. I'll be fine, and if I have to fight I will." We finished up our conversation and I walked into my dorm.

I'm fucked. I went with Mindy. I made out with her. Serenity cannot find out! She'll go crazy, I'll die! I have to keep cool around her though, I have to pretend like everything was normal, like Serenity and I were normal.

Nonchalantly, I headed to Serenity's dorm like I usually do. She opened up and welcomed me in. She walked up and kissed me, of course I kissed back but she stepped away and furrowed her eyebrows. "Why do your lips taste like cherry's?" FUCK.
